Sell Batman and Hulk for The Patek Philippe 5212A Calatrava

I really love the new Patek Philippe 5212A Calatrava just revealed at Basel.

Would you sell a hulk and batman to fund it. It took me a while to get a decent collection and I’m not sure what I should do.

Batman is 2014 and hulk is late 2018

Don’t do that!!!!! Hahaha. The Batman and Hulk, today is two of the most searched rolexes at AD’s, I think that both on the gray market, will gonna increase so much in value.

Even with all the hype surrounding those two watches I wouldn't have a problem getting rid of them to move to Patek. What I would question is trading two sport models for a dress watch. So if the rest of your collection supports this trade then I say do what makes you happy.

Actual comic books or action figurines?

Either way, Ill go out on a limb and say if you can ever trade children’s toys that you should have outgrown decades ago anyway, for a Patek, you unequivocally do that deal.

By the way the person giving up the watch for the comic books is an idiot.

Make sure they’re sober.

Upgrade! I'd do it. I've been thinking of trading my Hulk and Batman for an Oysterflex Daytona. Or Hulk, Batman and LN with a big top up for a PP 5726.

I just don’t like that reference. If it was for a Lange then yes. However very different styles, so if you like it and have another sport watch in the stable then go for it.

I'm not sure that I would trade two extremely reliable watches for one Patek that could potentially require a $1500+, four month long, service every three years.

The cost of a Patek isn't only the purchase price.

you'd be trading 2 extremely versatile and highly sought after rolexes for a "dressy" watch on a strap. i wouldn't do that personally but that's because i just can't see myself wearing something like that with anything i wear

all depends on your lifestyle

Unless you are a big dress watch person I'm gonna have to vote no. Especially with the old BLNR being discontinued.

Sell Batman and Hulk for The Patek Philippe 5212A Calatrava

I’m not apposed to flipping your LV and BLNR for a PP. What I cannot grasp is that 2 Rolex watches are sports professional for a vintage inspired, hand printed dial dress watch!

If it was for the 5711 or 5726 I would say GO! In this case I say don’t do it unless you want a dress watch and that’s what you are looking for in a dress watch.

Take advantage of the hype and shortages to get a good price off your two Rolex watches. Then get this nice looking Patek

I was thinking the same lol

If actual comics, the Calatrava is my easy choice since it's a beauty

If watches, no way

I actually love that watch too. Just wish it had a sunburst silver / white dial to go on a black leather strap.

I find the dial color with brown strap a little limiting as a dress watch and suits more of a casual hipster-ish attire.
