5726 or 5990 blue would be my grail. In Stainless so I can afford it!

I think the 5726 is great value for money. Hoping to try one on soon as I have smallish wrists and need to check it for size. Since the intro of the 5740, I think the 26 will be more popular.

It’s my favorite Nautilus.
For me 26> 12> 11.
I have the white 5726 and absolutely love it. Plus it compliments my blue 5712

personally my least favourite Nautilus - not a fan of the complication nor the dial colour. Something about it just doesn't work for me.

I did say that about the 5712 by then ended up buying one!

I love it, but there are a few things I don't love/don't understand about it:

1. the 24 hour wheel around the moonphase (5396 has this too)
2. sweep seconds hand (prefer small seconds as on 5712)
3. really wish it came in a blue dial
4. date window at 6

Despite all the "negativity", this watch is actually as elusive and hard to get as any other pateks.

I think it's a great watch. Probably prefer the 5396 overall, but either way is fantastic.

IMO 5726 is “forgotten” because AC as a complication is almost similar to a Date or Day Date function at x more prices. Hence, 5711 and 12 would probably get more yes than 5726.

Because of the complication of Chrono and/or Dual Time, the 5980 and the 5990 are probably “ahead” of the 5726 and “more ahead” than the 5711 and 12. Hence, both will also get more yes.

Further, the AC function is perhaps IMO not as popular as the PC or the Dual Time or the Chrono in terms of complication. You can see most ADs window display with the AC. Fortunately for the 5726 it is not the case because perhaps it is a Nautilus and a sports watch.

My first Patek was an AC a 5205. I chose this instead of the 5726 because I was of the belief than an AC needs to look like a “dress watch”. I eventually sold it for a PC. I would probably sell the 5726 if I bought it and would also go fora PC, a Dual Time or a Chrono.

I actually think the AC is a more useful comp than most others, but I think on this forum as most of us have more than one PP, plus some other watches, an AC is not really practical, it's more ideal for a one watch owner, which this forum doesn't encourage in any way. So this, plus thickness and no blue are why it was behind the others but it's a lot more popular now as these dubious reasons fall by the wayside in this tight market.

I don't currently own a Patek but I'm very interested in diving into this pool. I'm definitely drawn to the Nautilus line the most and the 5726 was the first one that really caught my eye (along with the 5712/1a). Haven't seen one in person but I like the idea of a larger case size and the wrist presence that comes with it. And despite the sporty design, I also like the value of the AC feature that accompanies this reference... While I recognize that it might not be the pinnacle of PP's complication references, this is still "high dollar" territory and again, the value side of getting "extra" for the $$$ has some appeal... Not that it's a deal breaker for me but I do wish this was a more respected reference in the line-up. I like it a lot from the internet window shopping that I've done.

I don't understand why the word negativity is being used when, according to my AD, the 5726 is just as hot as all the other stainless steel Natilus.

It will be - depending on the good graces of my local ADs - my first Patek. I think this is a magnificent watch.

I agree wholeheartedly

5726 was the first watch that drew me into the Nautilus line. So its a great piece. Its bigger for a Nautilus but is also a bit dressier looking than the other bigger options like the 5980 or 5990. Ultimately i chose the 5990 when really comparing the two head to head most recently. No wrong choices though. Ive never ended up with one, but its a great watch.

Yeah the 5990 is amazing. Hard to go wrong with a gmt and a Chrono. Your Instagram page is a bad influence on me too

I actually love the piece. My favourite is the white dial version on bracelet. Actually it is interesting that I see quite a few 5711 and 5712s in many places while I am yet to see a 5726 on someone’s weist.

I’m a big fan of the 5726 with the white dial and bracelet. I was looking to get into the Nautilus line in the Spring, and my choices were between the 5711 on the grey market or the white 5726 with bracelet from an AD with probably a several month wait. The 5726 would have been a few K more, but relatively accessible from an AD. I would have gone that route, but a 5711 from an AD popped up for me, and I had to jump on that.

My 5726 was my first Patek. IMO it is a great bang for buck for a one and only PP; Nautilus, AC, Moon Phase, Bracelet, 24 hr complication, a little heft. I agree it’s probably not the best Patek for a collection of Pateks, but it’s a great watch of a one or two piece Patek collection.

I think the 5726 annual calendar layout is the best among all the pp AC.

I love the layout alot and chose the dressed version 5396G.

5726 is a great watch otherwise PP won't make this AC layout to the sports line.

Very useful complication, like the grey dial. It would be x2 attractive imao (and the 5396) if the 24h dial was replaced by date dial hence removing the train crash date at 6. Could see that as a great daily wearer.

The 24h indicator could be replaced by one of those AM/PM dots.

Not a favorite of mine even with the 5205 which I chose over this. I’m afraid it’s not a Patek model that is being sought after unlike the other Nautilus model or other Patek complication.

But for those who like the design and complication, wear it in the best of health.

The only negative thing I can think of this watch is it takes longer than a 5712 to arrive.

AD said they haven't received the 5726 grey (my order) in half a year. The wait continues....

Been waiting over a year so clearly somebody likes the model. A little thick for a Nautilus but the complications perfect.
