Rolex sports models that wear thinner?

So my only Rolex pieces in my collection currently are a 1675 and a 1625.

For a while now I have been thinking the 16570 would make a perfect versatile sports watch for me, smaller than the too big for my wrist (~6") 216570 but new enough to wear as an actual sports watch (most of my collection are vintage and on leather so require care and an avoidance of water).

At a xmas party this past weekend I ran into a fella with a 16570 on the wrist, he also probably had a sub 6.5" wrist and I noticed the watch wore huge on his wrist, the bezel and crystal seemed to dome up dramatically similar to the look I found when trying on the Milgauss. I didn't ask to try it on and still haven't had one on my wrist but it made me think that perhaps I should be seeking a slimmer model.

I find my 1675 and 1625 do not have an obtrusive thickness, with some reading around it sounds like their thickness is ~11-11.5. Which I wouldn't think would be a noticeable difference from the supposed 12.2mm thickness of the 16570.

Regardless of actual measurements do some models seem to wear thinner while on the wrist, despite what the specs may say?

I've always felt the Daytona's sat a little lower but maybe that's just because I want one.

I have only tried one on, but I also agree that it felt like it was abit thinner than my BLNR. Felt good on the wrist

I’d have thought The 16570 should wear thinner than your 1675? You should try one

Have you considered a 36mm Explorer 14270?

I have considered the Explorer 1, preferred the white dial of the polar 16570 but after seeing it live, wondering if its case will be a little too much for me. I have had the 40mm Yacht Master on the wrist and liked it and it does have a slightly slimmer profile.

Should try a daytona on the wrist again... More than twice the price of the Explorers though lol.

I'm surprise the 750 felt too thick for you.

Perhaps a modern explorer is the way to go.

It’s true. They do.

Just picked up a new Explorer 1. Wears nice and thin, light & comfortable. Hardly notice I have it on. Recommend it highly.

I’d say Daytona, gmt, and explorer wear pretty comfortably. I had the 16570 and thought it was one of the most comfortable Rolex out there

Both the Daytona and the Explorer 1. Given the current pricing of both, a gently use EXP1 is a steal.

Daytona is one of the sleekest most comfortable watches I have ever worn

that said, any Rolex adjusted correctly wears very well...

Yachtmaster also. Slimmer profile due to smaller lugs and lower height. Works great on my 6.5" wrist.

Daytona, Explorer 1 and Yachmaster are the thinnest sports models.

In terms of comfort, YM and Daytona I believe are the Kings

Daytona if you want a little bling. 36mm Explorer I or 16570 Explorer II if you want something more conservative.

Try a 39mm Explorer I. Mine sits very low to the wrist, one of the reasons I picked it over a Sub.

Explorer I (39mm) is a solid choice.

All of the Daytonas wear thin along with the old Explorer 2 (ref. 16570).

The fixed bezel sports models are thinner than the rotating bezel models such as the Submariner and GMT Master II.

Daytona + yachtmaster share the same case profile
Gmt master + sub shares similer case but the sub has bigger case back

I wouldn't mind having that problem
