I've seen it with a glock, but never a rolex. Absolutely amazing.

Great story but the condition of the gold gives me concerns. Looks like it is burnt ---- from what little I know, gold is impervious to salt water..... I would expect the bracelet to come out pristine, not like it looks.....

Was there any water penetration inside the case?

thanks,

It's always refreshing to read such a positive thread about our favourite watch brand!!

It gets a bit tiring reading a bout RSC fails etc

18K YG can't rust. Must be organics like algae, etc on surface.

Clean this bad boy up with some Veraet and you've got 2 testamonials !

I would Love to see photos after it was cleaned up. I bet it looks new again.

I wonder what his recovery cost was? $85 x 48 hrs + $1K reward + $475 overhaul is approximately $5,555… Cheaper than replacement cost!

Correct Mon - and I didn't need to hire a dredger to find it!

Umm.. I ran out of socks... and there it was at the bottom of the draw. A few winds and it was running perfectly, as if nothing had ever happened! I wrote to Rolex Australia but they were strangely uninterested...

Brilliant story, thanks for posting.
By the way the Royal Navy Diver Tony Groom lost his Milsub in Poole Harbour in the 80's (and was fined ££20 for losing it). It's not been found yet.
