Am sure it’s been asked before so feel free to send me a thread link, however, I would like to hear from owners of the BB58 particularly on a leather strap with regards general overall ownership experience, reliability and comfort factor when worn.
Thanks in advance, MM Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I have had the leather version since early December. I wear it a lot and it is very comfortable as the strap just keeps the watch perfectly centred on the wrist. I love the long part being at 6 o’clock as it looks different to normal straps. The deployant is great, with its ceramic bearings gives a nice satisfying click when closing.
One thing I would change is the curvature of the deployant against the wrist. It is too curved for most people and can leave an indentation. However, this doesn’t really detract from the overall experience. The leather is ageing nicely over the 5 months of ownership and has taken on a nice weathered patina. It still feels like it has a good 4-5 years of use left in it though. |

I bought mine on bracelet 5.5 months ago, and put it on 3rd party leather straps all the time. Here are my thoughts to your questions:
1) general overall ownership experience - it's been a great watch to my collection. Amazing size, great looks, and IMO the best in its price range. 2) reliability - it has been amazing @ keeping at +<1 seconds/day, better than all of my other watches. 3) comfort - the bracelet is great and it conforms to my wrist perfectly. On a leather strap you’ll hardly notice it’s on. 10/10 so far for me and you won’t regret it. Good luck! |

I’ve been through a handful of great pieces (GMT II, Tudor BB Bronze/Red/Blue, Black Bay 41 and IWC pilot chrono) but just got my BB58 a week or two ago. I’ve gotta tell you, I’ve enjoyed this watch more than any other. The dimensions, the color, the bracelet... the whole package is pure bliss to me. To each his own, but I’ve been tickled at how the subtle reduction in size made this watch feel like an extension of my arm.

BB58 is a perfect watch and I enjoy it as much as Sub No Date 144060. The movement is amazing I am getting +2 seconds a day. The build quality is better than vintage submariner and I love bracelet. The only thing it is missing is a mirco-adjustment option on the bracelet.

I’m going to be the outlier here.
Have always been a vintage guy and bought the Fifty-Eight thinking that it was a cheap way to get the vintage vibe but with modern reliability. However the watch is just too damn solid, weighty and I miss the rattly bracelets and perspex warmth. So back to olde worlde for me |

Reliability is amazing! 6+months, every time I put it on the Timegrapher it is +1 sec/day, 0 beat error and running strong. Feels so smooth winding it and setting the time.
Proportions are perfect and the movement performs well beyond expectations. The gilt bezel has grown on me, but in just the right light can be almost too much. I'm not gold guy, but love it. |

I’ve had mine (w/bracelet) since Oct. and it’s without a doubt the best tool watch currently available from the house of Rolex. I love my BLNR and appreciate the technology in the modern ceramic subs but they have unequivocally moved into the relm of luxury watches. The 58 is still within the price range of a watch you can beat on and wear like a tool (pun intended) and not feel like a tool for doing so. That said It’s accurate, (+3ish), and superb in every possible physical dimension. I owned a Rose dial BBN before this and although I was quite fond of it the size always bugged me, especially the 22mm lug width. The 58 solves all of this. I even custom gound one of the links to accept an EZ-Link so I can have the best of both worlds. On leather it’s just as good, although I don’t have the OEM strap I wear it on many different leathers from Bulang and Sons, Hodinkee, Craft & Tailored and The Veblinist. Probably the best IMHO is a single pass Horween #8 from Veblinist (last pic). If you pull the trigger I suggest going with the bracelet, even if you decide to only wear it on leather the bracelet models will always be more desirable if you decide to move on down the road.

It’s nice but I’m on the fence. Seems gimmicky to me. Since I have a Rolex Sub wouldn’t get any wrist time for me.

I absolutely love my bb58. I got it last month and it’s taken lots of wrist time away from
My BLNR. It’s very comfortable and has that great vintage look. I’ve had a lot of compliments on it so far |

I've owned mine since July and it is simply the best watch I have owned. As a complete package it is a hands down winner. This is from someone who is a bit old school and appreciates classical looking watches.
If I could only own one watch tomorrow, this would be the keeper. Rolex, Omega, Brietling, Heuer and the rest... All out stays. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I love my 58. If I had to choose between it and my 16710 GMT II, my other favorite, I’d be torn but I’d probably go with the GMT because of its utility with the dual-time complication and the date.
But the mere fact that I’d have to think about the choice is very high praise indeed for the 58. After all it’s competing with one of Rolex’s best watches ever. IMO. In terms of wrist time, about 50 / 50 between the two. I am wearing it as I type this ;-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I love mine.
It gets most wrist time. Everything has already been said. The only thing I would add is that I really appreciate the Gilt/Rose gold tones. It makes a wonderful change from all the silver/white subs and SDs Ive owned. And the bracelet is fantastic, you hardly notice the 'rivets', if that bothers you. I honestly can't think of a single negative to ownership at the moment

Tried it on. Alas I wouldn't wear it over my nd subc so it is redundant for me. That said it is nice.

I am on the fence on this one. After Baselworld this year didn't come with other bezel variations on 58, I got on WL for it to see and if I like it IRL, buy it. I know I will like all the proportions and so on, but I something about gold accents on the bezel. If it had a burgundy or blue version of the bezel, or same version as BB Steel or even same black bezel as usual BB, I know I'd love it.

I have one on order only due to not owning my previous 14060M otherwise owning both would look somewhat similar. Looking forward to later next month if it hopefully arrives by then.

I really like the watch. I am still torn between my 5 digit sub and the 58. (No need for both). My main issue is long term durability and will the subtle style things about the 58 that I like now bug me in the future. I think it's a great watch. A modern incarnation of the 4 digit subs with a bit more flair. |

No. Fanboys are a subset of Rolex fans. Fanboys buy the image rather than the watch and won't hear of any other brands being mentioned in the same sentence. Most fans of Rolex are not fanboys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
