Authentic 116610LN?

I only have these two photos to go by, but any evidence this sub is genuine? Will my local AD authenticate the watch? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

It looks good, but I can’t say definitively without better pics.
Can’t really gage anything. Can’t really see the crown Baird’s and etc. if the seller isn’t willing to provide more photos he could be hiding something. If he wanted to sell it they should be more than happy to provide better pics.

Impossible to judge with these shots.

Thanks guys, I know the pics suck but I will try to get better shots. Will my local dealer authenticate the watch or tell me to take a hike?

I don’t know what you do for a living, but would you indemnify work you hadn’t done?

What did they say when you asked them?

You should ask them, we don‘t know who your local AD is and what they think.

Your AD will be able to look up the serial number. Best bet bring it to them. Have the seller meet you there.

Who mentioned anything about indemnification? Was simply asking is if this is something AD's typically do, akin to a courtesy cleaning.

Thanks for not overthinking the question, this is precisely what I was looking for. Much obliged.

Are you serious? Like a courtesy polish?!

By asking them to verify it you are requesting indemnification.

If they verified it, you bought it but then it turned out to be a wrong ‘un, you’d be expecting recourse....

I would imagine that if an AD had an established relationship with you, they might be willing to get a staff watchmaker to take the caseback off and give you their opinion. But as far as a stranger walking into an AD and asking for them to verify a watch's authenticity, I doubt that they would be willing to put themselves and/or the stores reputation on the line just to be nice. Good luck.

Tough crowd.

A good AD, interested in generating goodwill toward possible future business, would probably be happy to verify the case serial number and movement serial number. He/she would probably also be happy to safely steam clean the watch and bracelet, which I believe is what you were suggesting (not a polish).

No, they generally do not. Also, they will not look up the serial number, which there are millions of.

AD's are full of sales staff that are more knowledgeable about everything else in the store that they make more of a commission on. If they have a watchmaker on staff, he/she may look at it and give you some assurance. The watchmaker may also charge for this - it is a business, not a courtesy shop.

It would probably be a nice gesture. But it probably won't happen, either.
