Springer...SteveM...Orchi....
...take a look at this one. I have never seen one like this. It is SUPPOSEDLY a 7837 Tudor Band with safety lever. NOTHING in any of my Rolex References shows or mentions a 7837.
....albeit, it otherwise looks like genuine folded links etc. ....COMMENTS please. Stan. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vtg-Auth-Rolex-T...QQcmdZViewItem |

Err buddy Stan...you are spot on...the folded bracelet is a replica of 7835 with 361 endlinks(19mm)...at best.
Only this piece is good...though. |

Stan, I can't find anything on the band either than looks fake as far as markings, scrollwork etc. The centering of the registered swiss patented area is correctly centered and not like that on the counterfeits. It looks pretty old, older than me a suspect. Scrollwork and clasp markings look good.
It's pretty beat-up and I can't find that reference number in my book either, but I don't have the reference library like you do. I'd error on the side of the seller, because if it's fake, somebody spent a lot of time to beat it up and junk it out. Too many of the markings look genuine. I can't speak for the band number though, I don't have an answer for that. Maybe it was a typo that day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah very strange indeed,I am going to send this to someone to look at as it is not listed in any of my source books either.good catch,I sincerely dont believe it was an error, however the bracelet does look as though it was assembled from two bracelets,possibly..

Orchi, it definately could be a "bag of parts." But, I didn't see anything either indicating it was fake - looks more genuine to me than fake. That band link number is what is keeping me on the fence.

well update, what I have been told is that this bracelet has some genuine parts but has been combined with non-rolex parts as well.he said he has seen that number before on vintage style fakes.I didnt get any more specifics as there where a lot of customers in his shop while I showed it too him-I will talk to him more later.
