Owned this for a few years, I sure miss it ! Probably the most practical vintage car I’ve owned,...........BRP picnics, grocery getter, date nights, car events, it could do it all. The rear seat folded down like a modern SUV, and would fit a full size air mattress. The dogs and I took a road trip to Maine camping in it most of the nights ............. amazingly useful !

These were the first all steel station wagon made in the US. Previously, all were partial wood.

Rented it to a production company filming a movie in Nashville for a few months. Was in four scenes as the car Elvis’ father (Ray Liotta) drove in “The Identical”.

1949 Plymouth Suburban

I drove this "station wagon" for a few years of my mis-spent youth...

Pretty decent hauling capacity, 371 Cubic Inch power plant, red leather interior in the front and red velvet in the back.

Did a lot of dating in that ride.....But alas, moved on to more muscle cars after that.

Very Cool... My cousin had a '49 Plymouth Coupe that was used in the movie "Stand By Me" ... it was filmed in the next town over. It was just street decoration but you can see it in several scenes.

Loved my Audi Allroad. Built on the A6 platform, 2.7 Twin Turbo, air suspension. Very maintenance intensive though.

Well, I found an original paint ‘32 Chevrolet, built a traditional style hot rod, decided one vintage and one sports car was enough. Now I miss the wagon, but I love the ‘32 ............ IDK, can’t keep them all, upkeep of several cars is labor intensive and pricey, planning future retirement, etc, etc,

I was working after school for a guy who owned Superior Coach and they bought and sold hearses and ambulances. I got mine as a trade in and was really cheap and low mileage ha ha.

I jacked it up, put big wheels and tires on it and road pipes. Took out the rollers in the back and drove it for about 3 years.

It was great to take to the Drive In theater because we backed in and opened the back door and lay in the back and watches the movie. Also great for camping.

The only 'cool' alternative was something like a 55-57 Chevy wagon which were also sought after at the time. People were just starting to convert delivery vans into cool rides at the time.

That really is a beautiful, beautiful car.
I hope it's still in that condition.
It's my birth year Plymouth!
I wish I'd been as well looked after.

That's looks great! Those low profile tyres might hurt a little when you fall into a Manhattan pothole though :)

Surprised my 7 year old son today with a ride to school (no idea I got the new ride). Started it up in dynamic mode (for most people sounds like a beast). My son? Dad, why does Audi have a rev limiter? Brings a tear to my eye.

Baby’s got back, and legs!

Love my wagon. I had a Volvo 240 wagon back in the early 90’s. Great car and polar opposite of the one I have now.
