“Proceeds” has many definitions.

Regardless, the video was pulled… so, I would assume the offer has been rescinded.

Yup, I expect they will only donate the profit of these, I highly doubt they will donate the cost too. I will stand corrected if they do!

Sadly you're right on the money. And with these guys' business plan, they might only make $500-1500 gross profit on each piece. I could imagine them doing some creative accounting with expenses (time spent procuring/selling the watches) and winding up giving the charities their net profit of $250 each.

Had the “auctions” completed equitably, I think your point would have been proofed out.

And then maybe a new entry on the list of Worst Charity fund-raisers in America would have displaced the current #1…

Had the intent been to raise funds, each charity would have been given the watches for them to individually raffle/auction/etc and then reimburse TPG on an after-tax basis. That way perhaps 75% of the gross receipts would flow into the charity’s coffers.

I was going over the apology video, and I noticed or can't seem to find Nicos post anymore. Is it gone?

It appears you are correct.

I am unable to find it as well.

Did Nico feed into the apology and respond to quickly, only to take it down after realizing it was a non-apology?

I noticed yesterday when I read his post, there were at the time 246 comments under it and very few were good.

Unclear. I didn't try looking for the comment on the video again. But if it is truly gone - Perhaps he wanted Anthony to see his support for him / forgiveness but wanted to removed afterwards to mitigate any negative sentiments towards him for being so forgiving..?

My boss always reminds me, you get 1 point for talking about it and 9 points for actually doing it. This guy Anthony always gets 1 point , never collects his other 9. In other words, he’s just a big talker

Kind of defeats the purpose of forgiving/supporting him, but it sounds like this may be the case. To me you are either all in or all out...

Edited - Timepiece Gentleman

If I were Anthony I'd take a hiatus from social media for a little bit after issuing that apology rather than continuing to flex and asking people to consign watches / do business with him.

If I were a wholesaler or other grey dealer I would shy away from any dealings with TPG. Guilty by association. His stunt ruins credibility of those that still associate with TPG. Best thing for them is that TPG has a hard time sourcing inventory and eventually just goes away. This is an industry built on trust. It’s time for his suppliers to pivot.

What I don’t understand is he needs his investor to send him 400k so he can pay other people. If he has watched on consignment who does he need to pay. If he is buying watches to sale why doesn’t he have cash on hand to buy them ? Why would he buy any inventory right now with how he has taken a hit ? They can spend thousands and thousands traveling eating out but can’t save to not need an investor. Tell you what the investor has some big nut- to invest still with all this drama. The guy has deep pockets and you would think the smarts to just sit on it a bit before he send him 400k. Sure Anthony when your account is unlocked I will send you money ? How about the 200plus k for vip group
Wonder if they still have that cash.

Anthony is another poster child for the Dunning-Kruger effect. Seen a lot of examples of that in the past 4 years.

I get the exact opposite vibe from him. Everybody says he's a narcissist and overly confident, but when I watch him it seems that he really lacks a lot of confidence. It seems particularly evident when he's around the other established dealers and personalities.

Seems somewhat true...if he lost his constant tether to Marco, he appears to be utterly incapable of pricing his products in or out (at least in a way that would leave some margin).

I don’t disagree. I was specifically referring to his moronic decisions to lift his brand by doing the exact opposite of what a competent marketer would do all the while describing himself as a marketing genius….making him the king of of Mt. Stupid on the Dunning-Kruger curve.

Their store webpage is back up. At least on iPhone it looks like all watches are $3000. Another web designer problem?

Typically a self aggrandizing personality and a degree of narcissism goes hand in hand with a weak sense of self and deep self esteem issues so it's probably the case that everyone's right here.

$3.000 deposits. Probably because of trolls.

Except you only get your deposit back when you wire the full amount. So I guess it is non refundable?

Seriously a $3k deposit for a 5500 speedmaster.

This seems absurd.

The big investor money goes right into his "personal collection" watches he pays interest on.... he rather flex with "sugar daddy" money than keep the cash flow alive with the investors money!!

As ive said, its irrational and hes battling a sickness right now within his own head! Clout and popularity
