To each their own. I would take West Hollywood any day over anywhere in Vegas.

This is the greatest show I have ever been to. Not just in Vegas but anywhere. My wife and I got a VIP table in the very front last time and was definitely worth it.

For those that know, they will understand. Most people going to Vegas will never find it.

Lotus of siam is good but vegas thai isnt that good in general . I usually dont eat thai in vegas.

Kao soi is served at most thai resturants :). Dont need to go to lots of siam to eat it.

My recommenations:

PUB at Aria - formerly Todd English P.U.B. - this could work as a sports bar.
Rick Moonen's RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay
For lodging I recommend Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay
Slushie cocktails I recommend gin and tonic extra shot(s) from Mandalay Bay in your preferred size
Table gaming I recommend Mandalay Bay
Watches I recommend Pallazo
Sight-seeing I'd just walk the strip

The comparison was Vegas vs Hollywood so if those are the only two options I prefer Hollywood. I say this for a place to live though not a place to visit as a tourist. For LA its walkable, close to parks (which again for LA is a plus), Runyon Canyon, art, lots of restaurants and bars, nice Spanish colonial homes. But I live in Manhattan so I have a myopic view of my time there (usually in the winter). The reality is I don't think I would choose LA or Vegas to ever live -- I would head down to La Jolla or up to Santa Barbara.

Their crispy duck is the best I've had. Lots of places serve hamburgers but of course some restaurants do it better than others.

Regarding watches, I've mentioned that I'd never wait in line or on a list to spend my money. However, I'm on a 20 year wait list to get a marina slip in Santa Barbara.
