Remembering my first and celebrating my last Rolex

I was never really into watches or in fact any form of jewellery. My first watch was a birthday gift Timex which I wore as a child for a few months before losing it. The second watch I ever bought was a Longines lady quartz watch for my wife in which to celebrate a new job, she loved it and wore it every day and when I got and even bigger break in 2008 I vowed to get her something more expensive. This was my first introduction to Rolex

18months later she persuaded me to get a 116234 and whilst initially reluctant to wear anything on my wrist I, after 4 years of daily wear therein started my journey with TRF and luxury watches. I’ve had the good fortune to own and wear many fantastic brands and still own some today. In a collection of 8 (2 of which are owned by my wife) I/we own 3 Rolex and 5 other brands. 3 rolex keepers from a total of 12 Rolex and 22 other brands that have passed through my hands over 10 years. Some of the Rolex I’ve owned are SubND, Exp2p, 16600, SDDS, GMT2C, DD2, SD4k, SkyD (some multiple times) and this last one

Many have gone of course not least the first 2, as the watches have gone so have my flipping days. I am totally content with the collection and have no need or want to expand past my 6. Another two will be bought this year. One for the wife and one for a graduating daughter however they are not mine and will not be celebrated on the forum. My personal Rolex days are over however my first and last will stick with me in some shape or form.
Thanks For reading.
