Stolen Sub Date

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I apologize, but unfortunately, my father was recently the victim of an armed robbery where many of his personal belongings were taken, including his Rolex that he purchased in 86.

He is safe and okay, though traumatized a bit from the situation. As with any situation like this, there is a police report and an investigation underway. In addition to that, I contacted Rolex to have them flag the serial number should it ever come across any of their systems/service centers.

To the extent any of you have any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I am aware that the chances of recovering the watch are slim.

Many thanks.

Man glad to hear your father is safe, that’s the main thing. Only time will tell but perhaps the local PD will get lucky and catch the scumbag! These people usually keep stealing until they’re caught. Good luck

Doubt the PD will do anything. Scout craigslist/pawn shops/ebay/selling apps like letGO for the next few weeks.

Try to post the serial number on many forums. That at least might give a lead if someone lists it online or a buyer ends up with it
Glad your father is ok
