Wife has always liked them in the “holder of diamonds” sense, rather than really caring about the watch part of the watch.

Starting to change now though... she is liking AP and Rolex, but yet to jump in.

My wife is not into watches at all and is very frugal.

She has/had some cheap watches but last summer when I bought 2 Pateks, I was given raffle tickets (1 ticket per $100 spent) to the AD’s 50th anniversary celebration and we won first place- she now wears a 24mm omega constellation blue dial steel with diamond indices.

My wife tolerates me with my collecting/flipping. We turned a corner a few years ago when I sold a watch and bought here a nice car with the proceeds. The light went off and all of a sudden the only real questions I get are related to value and what we can get back out of the watches should be need too.

She has all her grail Hermes bags now...
Those bags suck but thank got it is the cost of a Rolex and not a patek.

My wife likes them but in a different way. Much more fashion oriented meaning how they look. She has a pretty good collection. AP RO rose gold jumbo, men’s gold cartier roadster, a pro hunter Rolex milgauss, a diamond bezel Rolex 36mm datejust with pink floral dial, a 1675 Pepsi Rolex GMT, a malachite dial 36mm 18238 Rolex Day Date, a woman’s SS Carter tank 🇫🇷, a womans white gold Rolex masterpiece with diamond bezel and diamond dial, a FM curvee, and I am sure I’m forgetting stuff but you get the picture.

We popped into Hermes a couple of weeks ago and I thought I'd check out the watches, thought they'd be cheaper than the Chanel J12s but they were actually more expensive, ones with the H case were quite nice.

My wife loves her bags and watches were almost there because I had some. She has several Omegas. Unfortunately for me when I got my aquanaut she started looking at them more closely. Then I got a Lange and it was over. Now she has more Lange than I do! I need to rectify that this year.

She’s kind of bipolar... if there was a spectrum. Frugal in most things, not so much in other things.

For example, you only see the watches and the diamonds... but she’s a beast as a business person.
