Thoughts on wearing 2 watches on same wrist?

Stumbled on this article https://www.realmenrealstyle.com/wear-two-watches/ and i need dual time zone.

The only time I wear two watches is when I plan on meeting another WIS. And then it only one watch per wrist.

Wearing two watches could be considered eccentric, but to be eccentric you need to be very wealthy, otherwise you're just mad. So unless you have a title and are a part of the landed gentry wearing two watches puts you in the latter category.

Buzz Aldren does it (both on the same bracelet) but he went to the moon so he gets a pass.

I've only seen him with the two Omegas on one bracelet, but a quick duck-duck-go on the interweb shows him with a smart watch now too.

1) It's an excellent way to justify all those watches.

2) It's a good way to get that two-tone look without sacrificing resale value

I actually like the idea of a digital watch on one wrist and a showpiece on the other...I've seen more and more people in NYC doing it...not sure I'm ready to be that cool but I'm working up to it lol

I do that, and I live in NYC
I wear the Yacht-master II daily as my time keeper and timer and on my right wrist 44mm Apple 4.
Thats only used for seeing messages/SMS or emails.
It also monitors my daily walking (10+ miles/day)

Its a great combination

One wat to scratch them up. If anyone really did that (which they don't) the crown would gouge out the other watch in a serious way.

Article looks like click bait. Could that just be a picture of a person asking which metal or color looks best...or is that simple an explanation?

I do think it is not that uncommon. I see it often in Finland, but also elsewhere in Nordics. Ive been wearing an apple watch on my right (for messaging and health) and a showpiece on left for a while now and I do not feel it odd at all.

I used to do that when I was a kid in the early-mid 90s with my colourful plastic Swatch watches. The watches were quite light, so they don't really weigh down on the wrist that much.

Two on the same is tough for me. I definitely do one on each wrist though.

A real watch on my left, an Apple "Watch" on my right (it's my connection to easy-to-read notifications, for example, while driving or running around so that I don't have to reach into my pocket).

I wear two watches on the same wrist all the time. At the same time I wear my pants backwards and have a cashiers check for $349 glued to my forehead. Oh - and I only wear two left shoes. Both on the right foot. Nothing on the left foot.

A few years back, saw an old boy (at a Patek Philippe function) wearing a watch on each wrist. Sad to say, but best Comment of the evening was,”must be the village idiot”.
