Def worth it. Additional safety when putting on watch. Sometimes on heavier watch it balances out the weight a bit

They are different from each other with the ratio of the long and short parts varied so that for instance a deployant medium fits the same as a pin buckle medium. Also worth noting, deployant straps are designed to fit with the longer piece on the opposite lugs to a pin buckle longer piece - so if you have a well fitting pin buckle, changing to deployant will require a strap change to the corresponding deployant version and with the new strap swapped to the opposite lugs.

So you’re saying the deployant itself is different size? Interesting? I thought one size and then they just change the strap

The Patek deployant is lovely. There are few reasons not to add it, unless money is an issue.

Looks great, balances the watch and minimizes risk of dropping the watch.

No brainer to me.

Yesterday I dropped an Apple Watch while putting it on and the screen exploded... I was soooo glad it was not any of my real watches.

No the deployant is one size, the strap for a deployant is different and fitted to the opposite lugs.
