Help on deciding what's next.

I'm trying to decide what I should add to my collection next. I would like to have 5 "nice" modern pieces. Right now I have the following:
  • A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Up/Down in White Gold
  • Rolex Milgauss Z-Blue
  • Rolex Explorer I 214270 MK2
  • Grand Seiko Snowflake SBGA211
  • 1966 Rolex 6694
  • Couple of Swatches, G-Shock, and Some Cheaper Pieces w/ Sentimental Value

I have gone through, many watches. About 70 by my count. I am very happy with the above watches, and do not want to sell any of them. Most of them have strong sentimental value at this point. I am getting tired of flipping and am trying to settle in. I do not need a 5th, but would like one more for a rotation.

To give a small sample of the watches I've owned:
  • BLNR, Hulk, 114060, 16710 Pepsi
  • Royal Oak, Overseas, Aquanaut
  • PAM560, PAM911
  • 6 or 7 JLCs from Master, Geophysic, and Reverso Collections
  • 7 Grand Seikos - Spring Drive, Hi-Beat, Quartz
  • Tudor ETA BB, BB58
  • 3 Speedmasters
  • Cartier Santos Medium
  • Nomos Tangente

Out of all of those, I would only consider purchasing a 114060 again. It's the only one I wish I still had. However, I've also been thinking about a DJ36 with fluted bezel and super jubilee. I prefer to stick with a 41mm max size and under $10k. I can save longer and try to stretch for something gold. That has crossed my mind a few times.

What do you all think? DJ36? ND Sub? Gold sports model? Something completely different? Doesn't have to be Rolex, but do not want to re-purchase any of the other watches I've owned.

Looking forward to hearing opinions! Thanks in advance!

Oh, and some pics of watches past and present here --> https://www.instagram.com/wwcwatchfam/

I think you answered your own question, friend! If you wish you still had it then by all means grab it again. It is a perfect complement to your already wonderful collection.

Help on deciding what's next.

I’d agree, a 114060!

Or even better, a 14060 if you’re a 5 digiter like myself... let us know what you decide!

First off, great collection. I agree that a classic sub would fit nicely.

Well, as others have already said, the 114060 seems to be a great choice. The DJ 41 is really “only” 39 mm and the smooth bezel with jubilee would be a great choice and looks smaller (to me anyway) than the fluted bezel model. If you want to go the no date route, the OP 39 in white is simple but elegant.

I own the Omega Seamaster 300 and would recommend that if it’s a no date dive watch you are after and don’t want to repurchase the no date Sub. I saw a brand new 300 below $5000 at a trusted seller with the SS bracelet just like mine. It also looks great on a nato as well. Here’s a pic. Good luck with whatever you pick but as someone who has also owned a fair number of watches I’d caution you about repurchasing something you’ve already owned. Every time I do, I realize why I sold it in the first place!

Sub. Almost a sin to have a collection of 5 Rolexes and no Rolex diver.

Awesome how the Sub, in one form or another, is the staple of almost every good collection. I think you know what you need my friend.....

Nautilus - 11,12 or 26, or a VCO blue dial, or instead of a subc, a BP FF.

Given your collection, I think the sub is a solid choice. And then, down the road, a DD40 to cap it all off.

Here's my five odes to the crown that l put together in the last two years. I also have a couple Tudors and Seikos l like. That Seamaster 300 is a nice Sub as well. Happy Choosing !

A Sub C ND and a DJ36 flute jubilee - those two will be my choice.

He said he could stretch!

Under 10k with his collection and no desire for another Speedmaster or a Reverso:
  • Saxonia thin - OP has Lange though and a bit of a stretch
  • New entry level VC or used Overseas
  • RGM enamel dial

You have a nice collection and, while all collections are a matter of personal preference, I can't help but thinking that a diver is noticeably missing. The 114060 is the quintessential diver and the fact that you miss yours tells me that's your missing piece.

JLC Reverso (Grande size), quite possibly pre-owned gold for close to 10k.

I actually owned two rose gold reversos. A duo and chocolate dial ultra thin.
