14060M (2 line) the last iteration of what makes a Submariner so iconic.

Anyond have some real nice 1680 Red shots ?
So you knew the answer all along!

P.S. Quite a few non-date subs have been nominated for greatest Submariner Date reference!

Disregard post #31. I didn’t fully read the thread title. 1680 Red is my answer.

lol... I didn’t really know the answer .
Honestly I think it’s really a personal
taste , that said there are so many
nice subs one could have a collection of
just subs!!! One of each reference...

Lol, I saw the no date votes but let it slide .
If I would’ve put Greatest Sub Ever a ND
Reference would’ve been plastered everywhere...

As much as I love the modern Sub, 1680 Red is the GOAT for date models. Now if we start talking Submariner sans date that is another discussion.

Well, I know sans date is always the hyped up sub.

I wanted a date reference thread different from the
non date sub...

Beautiful!

I have trouble making this call. I'm not even inclined to declare a model as "greatest"; there are just too many great Subs out there. I can only speak to my personal preferences. As a singular reference that I would wear more than any other, it would be the 116610LN. However, the TT blue and the YG blue ceramic Subs are both tremendous.

116610LV or LN in my opinion. They’re not the classic, but such an improvement on the classic.

Greatest Sub Date ref , difficult choice but the LV with maxi dial & rehaut just lifts it above others .

Maybe a dark chocolate red sub?

Milsub is just not fair.

I blame it on autoconnect.
