Long awaited incoming. 1st PP. Grail material.

This is my first post in the PP section. And I hope it won’t be my last!

This watch has always in my radar. But something always got in the way. But this time it ain’t gonna happen again. I did not get distracted.

I traded my beloved 718 YG GMT2 for this - a SS 5711.

The journey to get to here wasn’t easy. Getting my head to justify almost double the retail was also not easy. And trading a full YG watch for a SS watch + cash was also hard.

But after I got on my wrist, everything else was history.

Still don’t understand why PP switched from screws to pins & sleeves!

Congrats and welcome to the club... I got mine last month. I prefer the pins, not have to worry about the screws coming loose or getting stripped.

You won’t regret the purchase after a few days of wearing the 5711

You did the right thing, I traded 3 very hot watches for mine.

I miss them a bit, but don't regret it one bit.

Thanks for all the kind words. This is my first day out with it. I have to say that the Nautllus’ bracelet is on another level.

After a little bit research, the pin & sleeves are a bit more reassuring than the screws.

Imho you did the right thing. Good move.

And congrats on a truly magnificent watch.

I recently did something similar to acquire the white. Zero regret.

Thanks.

I think I did the right thing. Don’t get me wrong, the 718 is a heck of a watch. One of my favorite YG Rolex refs. But lately it was just wasn’t getting enough wrist time.

No regrets. No buyers remorse whatsoever.

The white dial 5711 is a very cool piece! Super sport when dressed down IMO.

Tough times for sure but we are WIS not MIS at the end of the day and the watch has to come first over the money if finances allow.

Congrats and an excellent pair you've got!

Lug length, the Sub Date is a little longer, isn't it?

Congrats! Double is a steep premium, but I suppose it's worth it if you love the reference and have the dough.
