Incoming BLNR meets 5110J

My first Patek and most recent addition to the collection. Wears bigger than 37mm would let on tbh. Added some comparison shots with my BLNR on my 7 inch (flat) wrist. Not sure why there is so little love for world timers.

Now you just need the matching wall clock. Had one here for years; it makes a nice solid 'click' sound when each (jump) minute changes. Looks like another website stole my pic, so am 'stealing' it back for this post LOL!

Weighs about 30 lbs btw, so you need solid mounting via two large bolts.

It's already on its way back to Govberg for a movement service. I noticed throughout the day that it was gaining time: about 10 minutes in 6 hours. I wound it and set the time again and, this morning, it was over 10 minutes ahead again.
Maybe the balance spring got magnetized in transit or the watch sustained some significant impact while being transported.
I'm a bit gutted because they may have to send it to Patek, I was told.
Since I got a really good deal on it, i'll play the long game instead of taking the refund. On the plus side, if they do have to send it to Patek the movement will be under warranty.

Sorry to hear about the issues with it, but Govberg will make it right. Hope you get your piece back soon!

The associate that I've been dealing with at Govberg called me this morning to tell me that their technicians did find that it was heavily magnetized. They demagnetized and regulated the movement and it's been in QC since Saturday where they will keep it until tomorrow before returning it back to me. So far so good
Hopefully it won't happen again in transit. The use Fedex.
