Explorer 2

Hi,

I've never owned an Explorer 2 but never liked the new size, and prefer some patina in the watch, if possible.

So came across this slightly vintgey looking one yesterday. My knowledge is very limited hence this thread.

What do you think of the watch: legit? condition? worth the price? asking around $5000

- Bracelet is not original to this watch.
- Case looks like polished in a not-so-proper way judging by the photos.
- Not sure of UK market, but I do think you can do better for the price.

My $0.02.

If it comes with papers, $5k is not bad for a tritium dial ... not sure how it is in UK, but over here the T<25 EIIs with papers are getting scarce & prices have shot up in recent months.

Do you know the watch serial # and the bracelet date code ?

Depending how anxious you are with getting one with the T<25 dial ;-) ... but I would pass and wait. In a private sale over here, this would be about $4k.

Meantime, check chrono24 or other sites to get a rough idea of average prices.

Good luck !

I would pass for $5k. Doesn't look to be in the best of conditions. Take your time and browse here.

another for a pass, and i'm a fan of the white explorer - this comes up often enough among the trusted sellers here, you might do better with them
