Icon2 I'm first on the list for an SDDS

One of my ADs told me that i'm first on the list for an Sea-Dweller DeepSea, yay!

Am I really first? I really like to think so, but ... What about you guys, are you first, or even confirmed to be on the list?

"Two companies really knocked my socks off this year: Rolex and Jaeger-LeCoultre," says Steven Goldfarb, president of Alvin Goldfarb Jewelers in Bellevue, Wash. "Rolex came out with three absolute home runs. One is the updated 'Sea-Dweller DeepSea.' If they shipped me 50 of them, they'd be gone in a week—as it is, I've got six great customers asking me whether they're first on my list to get them."

I believe MSRP is slated to be at $9k even. I'm also "first" on the list, but we'll see what happens. For those who are first on lists for specific models, how much have typically put down as a deposit? Verbal? Cash? I'd love to hear.

9k is kind of expensive for a stainless watch. this dssd is drilling some blood out of the buyer

I'm first on my AD's list. No deposit payed but I started the list 1 month before the watch was launched. We agreed that "if a new SD comes out at Basel, I'm top". Someone else became number 2 two weeks later - Two weeks before the launch. They now have 7 on the list.

No deposit necessary with this AD. Come to think of it, I should have put something down. ...Nah.

Thanks JJ, although I don't want to set myself up for disappointment, so i'm adopting a wait and see attitude.

To be honest, I don't care as long as it's MSRP or less.

I'm not sure about being Number 1, Sean, what's important is I'm one of the first ones.

Checked in with an AD today - she called her distributor and was told late November/December for the first to arrive. This is just one person checking... I read other threads speculating maybe August. Anyway, just passing along an update because I think the watch is great and hop to get one.
