IMHO look too BIG for me. Look more BIG & THICK than Pannie to me. Even I know the size only 43mm. But look more BIG.

Actually, to me it seems smaller than I thought it would look...well at least from the side by side overhead view when on the wrist. No doubt it looks a lot thicker from the side shots, but the overview doesn't seem that much bigger than the SD (6th picture). I'm sure in person it looks a lot bigger.

I also fear (again from the 6th picture) that the dial is the exact same size as the SD - too bad if that's the case...I was really hoping for a slightly larger dial face. Anybody know for sure about the dial diameter? I think it might be true they are the same due to that damn 'ring lock system' BS.

And what about the date window...do you think that's the same size too? Again, I was hoping for a slightly larger date window. Probably if the dial is the same size, the date window is too. Too bad.

Oh well, I still think I might have to give one a nice new home someday.

I have had a DSSD on my small wrist and it is huge , Check the side on shots , it seems double the thickness of a SD when you are wearing it .

Any thoughts on the dial size (just the black part, not including the ring lock system)? Same or larger than the SD?

I thought the dial looked great. The case was to thick and heavy for my liking .

Any interest I had in wearing that watch just vanished after seeing those pics. The SD has balance, but nothing about the DSSD does. The SD has a great look without being downright obvious, but that is all the DSSD is about, especially with the "Hey, look at me!" inscriptions all over it.

Not the first Rolex that screams overcompensating, but definitely the one that any others will be measured against.

I have decided after checking out the DSSD, it is not for me. Nice looking watch but to big for my 7" wrist.

As stated by Miner the bracelet is great with some very impressive improvements.

When the new sub with the ceramic bezel and no polished centre links arrives that will do me

Its big and heavy and at the time I thought it was larger than a Panerai. Not so sure now....

Wish I took the Pam along as well for a side by side.

The Pam plus strap weighs 136g on my kitchen scales vs 145g for the sd. The DSSD weighs in at over 220g so its not so much the size but the weight.

Size wise, I don't think it looks too big -- I just wish that they had left the excessive ring lock labeling off! Hopefully it doesn't stand out in the flesh as much as it does in photos...

My uncle is about to buy a YG Yacht-Master II. Now that watch is bigger than I thought. The DSSD looks about the same size. I'll post some wrist shots after he picks it up in a few days.

The DSSD is just plain too big, IMHO. After seeing the comparisons, the SD is still a classic with the right size etc.

If some folks are already 'complaining' that the 16600 is tall and top heavy, then the DSSD will be many times that.

A watch that big should be IMHO made of Titanium, but I know, I know, most folks want heft

I'm sticking with my Chrono Avenger for size, but half the weight.

The text on the rehaut is over the top, imo, also. Text on the rehaut is fine if the angle of the rehaut wrt the dial is steeper like on my Exp II M/3386. The text is not seen unless you make an effort to see it by looking at a very oblique angle. To me, that is rehaut text done in the proper manner. The DSSD's text is an advert, pure and simple!

Appreciate the link, though, as it helps solidify my thinking and makes me realize how much I need the SD!
