What would you get?

Well still deciding on which one will be my first, almost bought an air king today, but didnt look right on my wrist, to small. I thought I wanted a sub no date, AD would sell me one for 4500 new but they have the old style not the cosc, and then I saw an older K series GMT II pepsi bezel I could get that for 4000.

I narrowed it down to this

Sub no date COSC
GMT pepsi
Explorer II Black Dial

What should I do?

Choose the one that feels right to YOU. Personally, I would be thrilled to have all three of those. I chose the ND Sub first, and next I'd like to get a Pepsi. But remember, I'm buying for myself, and you'll be happiest if you do the same.

Post photos when you get one!

I'd get the GMT2. You can fit a black bezel to the GMT and it will look like a sub anyway. The sub nd is a classic reference but the big crown actually scratch my skin constantly (I wear it loose) and I miss the date function. having said that the sub is sharp looking and the symmetry is very nice. Also, the sub has bigger lumes it seems.

Here's a couple pics to help you decide

Will this be your only Rolex/watch for as long as you live?

If so, tell us more about your personality, likes recreational activities, etc.

I am leaning toward the sub, this would be my first rolex but not my last, first of a collection I hope. I am an active person, fish, hunt, bike, ect... so I think the sub will fit me better... I will post pics when I finally get one though, thanks for the input

If I were you, in your case, I would choose EXPII. The name itself fits your activities better. Plus, you get the date function, correct time when you hunt in another time zone, dive to 100 meter (330 ft) to catch a fish, and a rugged fixed stainless steel bezel that you don't have to worry about if you unluckily fall from your bike.

Can't go wrong witht he Sub - can't go wrong witht he Expy II - You are good either way - so, choose the one that sings to you now and save up for your second choice as your next purchase!

How hard is it to change the bezel, I like the idea of a gmt pepsi and a spare black bezel..... But I am still leaning toward a sub no date, then get the gmt followed by an explorer II white dial

I like both the 14060M and the 16710B.

I like the GMT feature but prefer the Triplock crown.

Your choice.

Jocke has a tutorial on bezel changing:
http://www.vikbobil.se/bezel.html

I've never done it myself though.
