You made the right choice, I just ordered a vintage Seamaster that arrives Friday. Amazingly cool watches.

As currently configured I have 6 links at 12 o'clock, 4 and 1/2 links at 6 o'clock. However, one of the 12 o'clock links is completely within the glidelock, so 5/4.5 may be a more accurate description of my setup.

In my opinion you should always have less links on the 6 o'clock side than the 12 side, any time you have an odd number of links. So I would NOT suggest moving a link from 12 to 6. Your setup looks fine

Took me three tries to get my Sea Dweller configured to my liking. But if the clasp is centered and it's not to tight or loose you should be good to go

I would not over think the link setup. Everyone’s wrist is different, hence a different setup is required for everyone, as long as the dial sits flat on top of your wrist where you want it and the clasp is a centered under your wrist you should be good, some people can have equal links on either side some people’s wrist requires more links on one side
