Hard to see the scratch as it is on the edge. Wait till you get a deep one centered on the clasp. No way to avoid them if you wear the watch. Just be aware of the watch and where it is in space and most scratches will just be hairlines.

I thought this was a joke at first... I have a YM on Rose, trying to avoid scratches on the clasp is like avoiding getting wet in the rain without an umbrella.

Wear it, it’s a sports watch, if you need to have it serviced in 5 years then they’ll all be gone. Who cares, love it, wear it and enjoy it.

It's now a unique Daytona. If you get it polished out, guess what will happen within 24 hours of getting it back.

It isn't in the easiest of places to see, unless you wear it upside down (not recommended).

I can't see the damage in the photo.

SS scratches just as easy on a stone surface. I see no difference in marks on my PM or SS polished links.

Comes service time in a decade or so the RSC will polish it out as part of the service.

I initially had the OCD's over my first Rolex when I got it. Try not to worry about it right now. Sounds crazy, but as time goes on, there will be more scratches and they'll all kind of mesh and work together to make the overall effect less and less noticeable. This is a normal reaction. It’s a Rolex, it’s almost bullet proof, but there will always be scratches that make it yours. If over time you just can’t get comfortable then take it for a light polish. But knowing it’s normal, just enjoying it and not worrying about every scratch will make it less and less annoying.

Not saying you should necessarily do this but there are tons of aftermarket clasps with glidelock that you can wear without fear. But you have a WG clasp! I would never consider switching that thing out.

I work at a computer desk typing all day with my Rolex on and all of my Rolex watches have scratches and wear on the clasp. I ain't taking my Rolex off unless I'm doing something that can damage the case. The wear on my clasps don't bother me.
