Winder is full

Winder is full, which I think means it’s time to get a larger winder (or just stop sharing with my wife).

Great collection!! I suggest stop sharing with the wife… lol. Make room for more pieces…

AP RO and Speedy/Cartier Santos/JLC Reverso would be nice to complete the set IMO…

Thanks! I try to have watches with different metals/dials so each piece is unique to the collection. I’ve got SS, yellow gold, white gold and platinum watches, and white, silver, graphite and black dials.

Blue dial is next I think. Maybe a perpetual calendar or annual calendar chronograph.

Great collection. Daytona on Oysterflex, or aquanaut 5164a would be a nice addition.

A 5146a or r would be a nice addition. But I am feeling something blue and complicated at the moment is where I might want to go.

I’m not a big AP or Daytona fan, but they are nice pieces for sure.

I went with an 8 watch Watch Box as a complement to my Watch Winder.

The winder may be full, but all 6 watches show a different time on the minute hand.

Surely you'd need to correct the time before you wear it, and you could just then hand wind it a few clicks ? Which would negagate the need for the winder.

I didn’t even notice that! Thanks for mentioning it.

Very nice collection.

My wife gets space in the winder just so that I don’t have to constantly set the time on two of her watches (which are her favorite Rolexes). I can barely get my fingers on those little crowns!

Great collection.

Is that 5146p? Well, if you stop sharing your wonder, watch out. Your wife could become like mine - she started to share my 5146G but don’t let me touch her Daytona…

Yes, it’s a 5146p. My favorite watch at the moment.

Nice collection but the best winder in the world and most have two they are called wrists, and what the watch was designed for wearing on the wrist, and not sat on these inanimate machine winder things. For any non perpetual calendar watch, a watch winder is totally unnecessary, unless you have lost the use of your fingers and cannot manually wind it.If you have a choice of watches and do not wear them every day, it is not real chore to reset it and wind it by hand must take all of 30 second's.If you don't wear it every day you also reduce wear to the movement components, why waste that benefit by having it wound when it is not required to tell the time on the finest winders in the world called wrists?

Agreed and second padi in stating that i find winders useless for "normal" watches.

Thanks, Padi--but this AGAIN?!

Pretty sure if somebody said they didn’t daily wear their Rolex because they were concerned about wear to the movement components you’d call them nuts and post a picture of your watch that’s been worn daily through trips to the bottom of the ocean, top of Everest, the center of the earth and through a black hole event horizon.

Want to provide an authority that proves rotations on a winder produce more wear than rotations on a wrist? I’ll wait.

Point being, unless you’re about to tell me you don’t daily wear your Rolex because you’re worried about wearing out your movement, your oft repeated criticism about using a winder holds no water.

Oh, you are being too kind--I've seen your posts over on the PP sub forum and your collection is on a whole other level. You have some amazing pieces that I can't help but covet. I for one look forward to seeing your minute repeater when it is allocated!

Great collection - get your wife her own winder and a couple more watches for yourself to fill the newly empty spaces - win win!
