Incame

Picked up this SMP 300M LE BOND yesterday from local ad. Love it, but upon further inspection this morning, I noticed the very small scratch on lug. Smooth to touch, but would like your opinions? Return, leave it alone, or have them touch up? Thanks.

My favorite Bond watch. Love the barrel rifling on the dial and, unlike the new one, love that it includes the date. As for the scratch, maybe just have them buff it out for you. Looks pretty superficial so I doubt they would have much trouble getting that out. I think it's very reasonable to ask for that to be done. Congrats on the watch!

Congrats. I would just leave it alone. As soon as you fix it, another will come. Getting the first scratches out of the way quickly will let you wear and enjoy it more.

I'd want it fixed. You didn't create it. It's like getting credit for a goal you didn't score.

you've had it long enough that can't assume it happened before you left the shop. I'd leave it alone

Me too and my favorite SMP as well. Super nice folks at ad. I gave them a heads up and we are going to do what we think is best...leave it or very light local polish. Thanks.

Thanks. If it was buckle, I wouldn't care as much, but I rarely get scratches on case and it's brand new. We'll see what they recommend.

Thanks. Great point. If they can correct where it's like new in that local area, I'll let them.

Thanks, but I haven't wore it yet. Bought yesterday evening, and saw this when inspecting better this morning. Already gave them a heads up and we'll see what they come back with. It's so minor, that I may be ok either way. Hard to see it, but I'm a bit ocd on case condition. Lol.

They will probably wipe it a couple of times with a cape cod cloth and you will never know it was there. Smooth to the touch little brushes like that are a piece of cake to remove. Congrats on your purchase!

Will do. They had one other bond le in the company, but it was just sold, so they r going to send to their in house jeweler for a very light polish in that area. Fingers crossed.

Update,...the ad was able to get a replacement from another store for me to swap out this Saturday. Fingers crossed and I'll be sure to look this one over better.

This never fails, but a rolex ad called me stating the special order I had placed at least a year ago had come in. 116518ln Paul newman dial. I can't say no, right?
This disease has hit my hobby money hard these past two weeks. Lol

I was going to simply return the smp le 007, but since they found another and I do love it, I've decided to follow through with it as well. More to come. Hope everyone is doing well and has a great weekend.

Good news on two fronts with the watches. Lets know how the pickup goes and post a new picture when you get a chance.

Picked up this beautiful replacement yesterday. Super clean this time. Seems be very comfortable from what I can tell using the rubber strap. The first le# was above 2k, while this one is above 6k. I guess omega did sell out quickly to online buyers and allocated pieces to ads and obs. I've heard on runs of 7k, about 700 are allocated to US? Unless you have a top 10 (maybe 0007), le# doesn't appear to affect value from I've seen. Even then, not sure it makes much of a difference? Look fwd to enjoying my first SMP. Hope everyone had a great weekend.
Btw, anxious to see what snoopy speedy will look like on its 50th anniversary. Take care my friends and keep posting those beautiful watches for all to enjoy.
