GMT 2 Bezel stiff

Hi, as title, the bezel on my ‘03 GMT2 goes a little stiff after moving it through 90 deg. Is this a lack of lubricant or is something amiss? Thank you.

It's usually dirt (dust, skin grease) that accumulated underneath and makes it hard to turn.
