Acquired an Explorer II 40mm

No holes case. Love it, though would have preferred the older case for its wider versatility for different straps etc. Still, very happy I pulled the trigger.

Great looking watch! I love the red GMT hand infinitely more than the orange one on the new model. That thing is a beast of a watch, and in my estimation, quite underappreciated.

I'm not really considering purchasing a Rolex in 2019, but if I did, this one would be first or second on my list.

Congrats on the acquisition of a great watch!

Man, that looks nice. I don't know whether I should sell my Explorer II 42mm and get the 40mm instead. So torn!

Congrats! I just added one recently myself. Seems to be a theme lately for the 16570 polar. I bet the 40mm polar is the next Rolex to see people make a run on it as it has been under appreciated so is a good value and is so unique relative to the abundance of black dial 5 digit sport references.

Nice pick up. Beautiful piece and much nicer than newer model imo. I considered getting one myself but as I already own a Rolex, I wanted something different. Loves yours tho. Enjoy.

Congratulations, fantastic model! Love my 16570 Polar. Holes or no-holes case makes no difference to me, it's an easy process to swap out straps. It's perfectly suited for a variety of straps, rubber, fabric/NATO or leather, depending on your taste/mood.

Desire may increase in future years as you say, particularly if the current impasse continues. Whilst perhaps not as high profile or as popular as some other sports models, its really a great watch that is still relatively attainable at good prices.

Great choice! One of my favorites and brings something completely different to the table than the rest of the professional line.

Beautiful watch, congratulations. I think the luminova dial looks excellent.
I would like to pick up a 40mm version myself, either black, or white dial.
