Icon5 Adding A Hulk To My Small Rolex Collection... ADVICE NEEDED

Hi guys!

I wanted to ask you all for your advice. Recently I've been toying with the idea of getting a HULK (116610LV) added to my small Rolex collection. I'm stripping back on the number of watches for those that will add value but also look cool/unique with time.

I currently have a BLNR and an OP39 Rhodium dial. NOW... I'm able to get a HULK at basically retail price and considering selling the OP39 to help fund it. The OP39 was my first rolex but I find it's not singing to me as it once did. I can't at this stage afford to have all three watches. Feels a little over kill and I know I wont be giving one of them enough wrist time.

Questions:
will the BLNR and HULK overlap?
am I right in going through the hassle to get the hulk?
should I flip the OP for something less expensive such as the DJ41 jubilee + smooth bezel?

Any other thoughts?
Many thanks in advance for your input and advice.

Many people on the boards have both the BLNR & LVc for good reason: they pair really well (different functions, colors, bracelets).

Go with the LV although am not sure how much you’ll be able to get from your OP to make it worth your while to sell. Maybe $3k tops!? For that amount - just consider keeping the watch. My thoughts...good luck!

I've thought about that too... Hmmm... But I know i'll end up using it a lot less if the HULK comes in.

weird... for me I have a much better relationship with MRKHOORY in AbuDhabi than S&S in Dubai. Even normal boutique staff make more of an effort with me in AD. But i'll try. The new pepsi... I don't think is for me.

Do it!

They definitely won’t overlap. As others have mentioned, both would compliment each other in a small collection.

I have both, and the difference in bezel, dial, bracelet and function make for two very different watches and will easily serve as daily(Blnr) and weekend (Lv) wearers.

If on the off chance you dislike it, you will always get your money back.

I have the BLNR and the HULK. They are definitely similar, but they don’t overlap.
Personally I like the Hulk more than the blnr.
By the way, I think the hulk and OP39 make a great pair without the blnr. Then again if you are done with the OP flick it. no point in keeping a watch you don’t enjoy wearing anymore; move on.

One of the most popular duo combos there is. An absolute no brainier.

Like everyone said, the hulk/batman duo is fantastic. Regarding selling the op, not sure it is worth it. May be hand it to the Mrs as it is reasonable size to be used by ladies

I am not sure why you think these two models will overlap?

I guess what I’m thinking is if I should buy a DJ41 as a dressier instead of another tool watch in my collection.

Buy the Hulk now and figure out what you want to do with the OP afterward.

Buy the Hulk and keep all three if possible - I reckon it’ll make for a great trio. Btw, I quite enjoy your YT vids too!

I think the Hulk/Batman is an awesome duo. Buy it and then figure out if you need to sell.

The hulk will never overlap with anything, the color hands down makes it unique to all others

I see no overlap and all three watches are very nice. If you can make it work, I would add the Hulk, get past the honeymoon phase, and decide if the OP should go. I would think that it would but then I would trade it for a DJ41 and have a great three watch rotation.

If no need for the money to fund the hulk, try owning all 3 and see how it goes. Doesn't sound like there is a need to rush the decision

They make the perfect modern pair so no worries. As for OP I do like it, esp in rhodium and the new white, but it is a stripped down simple design so I would have it as an addition to a 3/4 watch collection.
