Back from Basel, 116710LN & 116710BLNR not in Rolex book
So the BLNR and the LN GMT's were missing from the catalogue and pricelist handed out at Basel. Why is this not bigger news?

The green accents were supposed to commemorate 50th anniversary of the GMT (it was advertised as such back then). One possible explanation for updating the LN model, in addition to the new movement, of course...

It’s been mentioned twice already. Once in the thread about the coronet being added between “Swiss” and “made.” And once in the “blnr discontinued” (paraphrasing) thread.
Something being on the website is not dispositive of it being discontinued or not. We need to start a thread of common Rolex misconceptions that are false but still parroted. The 16610lv was showing on the website until late November, 2010. After the 116610lv already debuted (sublv) and many months after that Basel. That something is not discontinued because it is still on the website is fundamentally not true. It seems that Rolex keeps them on the website as long as there is some appreciable amount of retail presence even if the watch isn’t being produced. Just because something is for sale doesn’t mean it’s being actively produced. For those who collected then, the 50th anniversary subs sat unpurchased at many Ads for a while so it made sense for them to be illustrated on their website even if they weren’t being manufactured. |

Looks like there selling off remaining stock of BLNR
Then it will disappear from the website Maybe Seen this on a blog saying discontinued also Could this be the end of the BLNR Until a future update case/movement

I wish there were watch journalists out there who would actually ask questions like these instead of putting up article after article of positive review. Did anyone see the Revolution Watch video where Wei had the president and creative director of Tudor on camera and ignored them to have his own person talk about the new GMT? Have them talk about it. Ask them about their watch. Ask Rolex if the BLNR is discontinued.
I’d be surprised if the BLNR is truly discontinued though. It seems odd to only offer a GMT on a jubilee bracelet with no oyster option in stainless. |

I hear the frantic scrabbling of all those dealers who got their hoarded BLNRs out of the safes a few days ago cramming them all back in again...

It's been my theory since Basel that the 1167XX (LN, BLNR, BLRO) are no longer in production but still on the website until stock levels within the supply chain have been depleted.
The LN and hopefully the BLNR will then be updated to 126710 LN & BLNR at Basel. Not too sure what will happen to the WG BLRO.

I have always believed the catalogue over the website. If it is not in the catalogue, it can't be ordered. Wonder how many are out in the retail chain at the moment. This is big news!

Maybe the LN is being updated. Can’t say the same for the BLNR though

I really hope the BLNR isn’t discontinued — I have been looking for one for over 6 months. I’d really like to avoid the grey market and get one from an AD.
As a new (potential) customer to the Rolex brand, this has been quite frustrating. |

They can be replaced as 126710 ln and Blnr, just like the DSSD.
I still don't think Rolex will discontinue Hulk or Blnr in the near future. |

I don't remember a midyear announcement from Rolex with the exception of the Cameron DeepSea, and that was to commemorate an event.

Could be no announcement, just no longer available for any AD to order like 116719BLRO...
