I buy used western shirts off of eBay. Most of been good though if you have been moldy and nasty.

I just bought a Grand Seiko from a private seller on eBay. Everything looks legit from the pictures and we chatted back and forth before i purchased. Watch was sent to the authenticator today. As others have said you’re not buying the watch from eBay they’re just facilitating the sale and providing some additional guarantees/services. As long as you trust the seller and pay using PayPal or credit card etc then you should be ok if there are any issues. That said if I was spending 45K then I think I’d want to inspect it and buy it in person but your risk tolerance may well be higher than mine!
