Hi and welcome to TRF..

Submariner is below the depth indications which makes me think of a type I maxi dial but the spacing of the A and = is a little off IMO, the = is too high, has the dial been refinished? Do you know the serial no?

The font on the 3 and 5 on the insert also look off IMO. I could be way off the mark here as still learning myself.

Why are you asking?

Has this dial been refinished? The 12 looks a little bit shifted to the left.

A 66 or 67 vintage. I would feel much more comfortable if the dial were 200m = 600 ft.

As a general rule;

1962-68

Meters first with Submariner. (Includes gilt dials)

69-77

Feet first with Submariner under

78-89

Feet first with Submariner OVER. (Includes gloss/with WGs, about 84-85)

Of course crossover is normal with Roles and one also has to include service replacements depending on the time a piece was serviced.
