2nd Grand Seiko Incoming!
After picking up a SBGA387 at an AD earlier this year, I fell in love with the brand. I’ve traditionally been more of a Rolex guy for the past 6 years as a watch enthusiast but the mesmerizing quality of the dials and the case finishing of Grand Seiko was enough to make me a GS fan.
Here is my most recent GS acquisition-SBGK005! I love the curved dial and the overall design of the watch. Since trying it on twice on different occasions, I just couldn’t get it out of my head. Also ordered a few different leather straps for SBGK005 and SBGA387 to give them different looks and add versatility to my collection. The pictures simply don’t do the justice of depicting the beauty of the GS dials. My next GS might be the green dial Four Seasons! |

that SBGK005 is gorgeous. I thought it was a bit oddball when I first saw it, but it's uniqueness has grown on me and I'd love to see one in real life. Congratulations !

Gorgeous. My AD is getting one in and I may pick it up. Torn between SBGK005 and the SBGH267 limited edition GMT. If i get the 005 I want to dress it down a lot though, I'll definitely be swapping out the strap for something more casual like a grey/taupe textured & stitched strap found in the Hodinkee review, and maybe even a 19mm beads of rice or mesh bracelet. Give it a quirky, vintage sort of vibe.

Beautiful! I love the textured look of the Mt. Iwate dial. I hope to score a SBGJ201 someday.

Very nice. I bought the 387 when it first came out as my first and currently still only GS. Am jonesing for another one and just tried on the 005 yesterday. Loved it - just still deciding what I want to do...I’m sure you’ve found it already, but if not, Hodinkee just did a nice review on the 005. Enjoy!!
