Too Similar?
Okay, so I really love this watch. It fits great. Feels great. Has a timing bezel and great lume. It’s a great watch.
I was at an Omega event last night and tried on the titanium/ceramic version. Me likey. The problem is it’s really very similar to mine. Of course we all know resale isn’t very good. So selling mine and getting this one might not be the best bet. Too similar to add? Or maybe just don’t do anything at all. Which I’m leaning towards.

Seth, for me it might come down to how different they feel on the wrist ... titanium intrigues me, but I’ve never pulled the trigger.

There are plenty who own a 116610, 114060, 126600, 116710 and they all look pretty much identical.

thanks for the feedback, folks.
I think I do prefer the blacked out version. but it is slightly larger, and there is not date. and it is much more expensive. and I would take a bath on the SS. and I do really love the SS. so there it is..... but the black arrives Friday. at the boutique. no obligation.

Me likey, too. Tough decision! The new, broader dial without a date display combined with slightly longer hands look dynamite.

Correction, basically same watch!

You don’t need both. Do you like the Aqua Terra? Have a Speedy?

I do very much like the AT. And I have a DJ that is getting zero wear. I will likely move that. I also have a speedy that I absolutely love!!!!! And at this event they actually made me a personal strap of my own specific design. Very very cool. I will get it in about a month. That said, they showed a split seconds LE speedy that I find super attractive, but it was not available to try on. That too is enroute to the boutique for me to try on. I put a link below. It might be just slightly too big for my taste. But the profile looks lean. So it might work out super for me. https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/w...31130445101001

Wow that looks like an amazing speedy!! Curious to see how it fits you. At 44mm w those endlinks it’s going to wear large . My 6.75 inch wrist prob couldn’t pull it off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Honestly can’t tell a huge difference, and from what I can tell, I prefer yours:
the shine of SS works well with the overall package, as does the slightly smaller size. Good luck with your choice! |

Honestly, I think the ceramic Seamaster is awesome. I’d look out one from a grey or trusted seller and that will kill the blow on the steel one. It’s a great watch, and I’m a huge fan of omegas ceramics now having purchased an Apollo 8. |

Too similar, just look for other watches and divert from the distraction of the event!

Nah. Go for it. I have 2 16710’s. They’re the same watch but one is coke and one is Pepsi. That’s different enough for me!

I have tons of similar-looking watches, so I say go for it. But that being said, I like yours better. I like the red highlights and the glossy features. Plus the bracelet option.
I tried the ceramic on too, compared it to the black to the ceramic to the Sedna... next to the other two, the ceramic actually looked smaller... my wife swore that it was!! If you make the jump, no one but you will notice the difference between them. But that rarely matters. You will know. I just happen to think your SS is nicer. Cheers Ross |

I would get the Titanium Seamaster and trade the SS Seamaster 300 42mm for the blue or gray dial version.

Resale value aside, I really, REALLY liked the ceramic/titanium model when I tried it on a couple of months ago. It is killer on wrist, and the no date is fairly unique for an Omega Seamaster, IIRC. I'm an outsider (no Omegas in my collection) but I say go for it; if you don't sell the current SMP to fund it, you'll probably sell it afterward because it won't get any wrist time!

You guys are killing me. In a good way of course.
I ended up getting the LE Speedy which gets better as I wear it. I really love it But now, yes, especially reading this, I’d like to sell the SS and get the ti. Smh. I really though I was done with all this madness. I really did. I’ve got problems.
