How to size your bracele if you have an odd number of links.

Hello,

Anyone know the correct way to size you bracelet if you have an odd number of links.

Do you have the extra link on the clip side or on the other side.

How do the watch originally comes. Usually the original watch comes with odd number of links. Which side did Rolex added the extra links.

I fit the watch to the wrist of the wearer. I try to center the clasp on the inside, and the watch centered on top. This usually leaves fewer links on the six o'clock side of the watch. I have removed permanent links to properly fit someone with a usually small wrist, with permission, of course.

It comes down to personal fit and preference, there is no right or wrong in terms of how to distribute links. I prefer to have more links on the 12 o'clock side than the 6 o'clock side as this centres the clasp properly on my wrist. Best to experiment for yourself to figure out what works best for you.

IMO the closer the clasp is to 6 o'clock the less likely the watch head will roll around to 12 o'clock.
To me this is usually clasp centred and then swap one link from the 6 side to the 12 side.

I just checked my new SubC which was sized by the AD. Not counting the link hidden by the clasp, I have 4 links at 6 and 5 links at 12. The watch and the clasp are perfectly centered on top and bottom of my wrist.

The AD sure knew what he was going. He did not measure my wrist, he took a look, went to the back with the watch and came back with a perfect fit.

Yes centers watch better
I have four on six o'clock side and six on 12 o'clock side

I'm measuring my wrist to be about 6 3/8" but that seems kind of small. Anyhow I've been playing with this configuration for 2 days and the above specs are the best I could do to get the clasp and watch head both centered.
