I need to to decide to purchasing this DateJust II 18K Fluted Bezel With Rhodium Arab
Hi guys,
I have been reading tons of threads on this forum about the Rolex DateJust II 116334 18K Fluted Bezel With Rhodium Arabic Dial. This will be my first Rolex and I would like to use it for the business casual outfit. Since the watch was discontinued, do your experts think that the value will go down over time? I was offered to buy the 2011 watch at $6500 with box and papers, what do you think about that? I would appreciate for your time to read this and your expert advises. |

Love my DJ II. Got it earlier this year and couldn't be more pleased. I prefer the stick bezel and liked the look a little more than the newer iteration on the DJ 41. Pretty split down the middle on folks here on TRF on the DJ II, they seem to either love it or hate it. I love it. Get the watch that sings to you and puts a smile on your face. Cant go wrong!! Happy hunting!

very few DJ will appreciate, they may not lose as much as most other watch brands but they won't likely go up like sport models will. They may go up a bit over years. That said the DJII because it had such a short run may be a collectors piece one day.

I love that particular iteration of the dj2- was my first rolex but i let it go. If I were you I would wait to see if Basel brings a similar dial in March for the dj41. I am hoping it does as well...
In terms of value nobody knows but if I were you I would be looking newer than 2011ish for $6500 (for just a bit more you could likely find one still in warranty if not nib for $7500 or so). |

Thank you guys for your awesome feedback!
As middle young ages, 27, I love the modern look of arabics and dressy look of the white gold bezel. Your opinions are very helpful. |

That is the DJ that I love too. The one with the light blue numbers. Stunning watch. I need to stay off this forum - too many enabling ideas :)

I love my dj 2. The bezel looks amazing. It was a short run and the trend is towards bigger wstches, so it may appreciate.
