I have seen it, and tried on all variations - on stainless steel bracelet - including the silver dial and the two-tone models. They are all gorgeous. In the end, if I were to get one, it would either be the blue or black dial, all stainless steel.

Omega has really done very well with this model. I am constantly surprised, though, that I usually see each variation in the display at the local Boutique. I would have thought they would be pretty scarce by now.

Very difficult to beat this watch in all aspects, and even at full MSRP I feel it is a great value.

Cheers,
Carl

The seamaster is indeed a great watch and very much desirable. In the very earlier days, some rookie AD even have the audacity to tell me to pay a deposit first and join a waitlist. Thankfully, Omega operates on a different business model. I am sure the watches are selling well, just that Omega also increase the supply to meet demand. Plus and Minus though depending on your perspective. Plus is that we can get what we want without going thru the PITA process of getting "allocation". Minus is the resale value might diminish but at this price point for me at least, I don't really care.

Here are a few shots in the sunshine on Saturday. Really enjoying this watch and loving the various shades of blue - from dark blue almost black to lighter blue in direct sunlight at the perfect angle.

In almost every other cases, it is blue, but with many shades depending on lighting. The dial is ceramic is very dynamic. I have posted lots of pictures in this thread and so have other owners. Please feel to browse to have a better idea what it looks like. What I can say for sure is that the watch will look miles better under natural light.
Thanks for your reply and info, by wash out i mean it doesn't even look blue in some pictures, more like turquoise. In most pictures however it looks impressive even if it is a lighter blue than the older model.

Good Choice on the blue. I recently purchased the gray dial, and did not work for me. The gray dial is more of a silver high polish than a gray like shown in pictures.

Just a heads up for anyone interested. I've been waiting for this strap to be back in stock on Omegas website for weeks and today I noticed it finally is. IMO it's one of the best looking nato straps they make. Should look really good on the black 300M!

Looks cool- besides the fabric keepers, anything different about it than the other NATOs? Have handled in person ?

The fabric keepers are what I really like about this particular strap!

I have not handled it in person yet, it should arrive tomorrow and hopefully I can give a little more detailed review.

I own an Omega leather strap for my Speedy. It was wildly overpriced. I bet the NATO is overpriced, also.

Just be advised it's leather lined, which is great, but pretty hot and not entirely comfortable in the warm weather... ; )

Are you sure - website says it’s just nylon, and it’s priced same as other natos on website and pic doesn’t show any leather at all...

Mine was leather lined. Perhaps they changed it...? I bought it two years ago.

Yes, it's the idea. The watch speaks for itself and Ben's pictures only enhance what it actually looks like. Very versatile and wears very well. It's a keeper.

Me too! Actually I get the mod to make a title change. It's not an incoming thread anymore.

Agree with all you said. Despite my large collection, this watch has the most wrist time in my entire collection. And that's saying something.

Not recommended to adjust between 8PM and 2AM. See the online video manual

When I set the date on all my automatic watches I roll the date over by advancing the time so I know it's Am, I advance it to 6 AM, I then quickset the date to the day before the correct date, then roll it over to correct date manually and set time. Works for me.

But that manual is for 2500 not the new 8800. I was asking if this new 8800 movement is still same with 2500 in terms of not changing date on 8pm to 2am

Sorry, didn't read it correctly. I don't have my printed watch manual with me now. So maybe someone else here can help.
