Explorer 2

Hi All
Is the explorer 2 in stainless and white dial hard watch to source new or is it not in same category as the other stainless sports watches?
Thanks

I’d say it’s in the same category as the other ss models. I haven’t seen a explorer 2 in either black or white in a few months.

My AD has them on display in central london all the time. Finally bought the black (very recently), but both where there to try on side by side which is a nice change of pace for a professional watch. Anything else and its not happening.

Prefer the white in pics, but on me i prefer black. Its a lot of white on a big watch so do try both on if you haven't already.

Every AD i have been to in the last 2 months has had one in the window

I was offered one for £4500 in 2015

Back then i thought that was still too expensive - never mind the £6250 tag of today no chance

Depends where you live and how much supply the AD gets. I'm waiting on a Polar which could be anytime before the end of the year. But I've been around all the ADs in my area (and there are a few) and they don't have them in.

Came across a black Exp II here in Izmir, Turkey, today. Also saw rhodium and blue dial Yachtmasters. No other SS sports models though. They at least have better selection than the several ADs I visited in Munich a couple weeks ago lol...

I would say in the US it is fairly easy to obtain. Maybe a short wait.

It seems hit or miss. They certainly don't sit around anymore. I was very glad to get mine 3 mos. ago. I was debating on it for awhile as it had some underdog status but when my AD just happened to show me a new delivery of 4 new pieces still in coffins, one being a Polar I jumped. My keeper now and loving it..

I currently have black, but the white dial is really starting to tempt me. I only have one other white dial watch. It would be a logical swap from the standpoint of diversifying my collection.

All SS sport references are hard to find right now, but the Exp II is not on the same level as Sub, Hulk, Batman, etc.

I believe you could find one easy enough. I might take a few phone calls and a wait of a few weeks.

Don't appear to be too difficult to obtain, saw both the black and white dials on display in Harrods 2 weeks ago.

I'm sure if you call your local AD's, you should be able to source one fairly quickly. Good Luck!

You can probably find one at an AD relatively quickly. I would go trusted seller for this one, and have it tomorrow.
