NeW - 1675 matte MKI 1.batch small hand --

Hi guys,

in advance: sorry for my bad english :-( I try my best....

Today I want to share with you my „new“ 1675 matte MKI 1.batch small hand.

I‘m really really happy to share with you this 1675 that is, for sure, something very special!
With a clearly visible 1.68xxxx serial this 1675 is from end of 1967 and is one of the first matte dial versions after the 1675 gilt-version. This version has only been produced for a very short period, before the „big hand“ and other luminous material (tritium) have been put through the 1675.

My good mate EX-OMEGA gave me the chance to get this wonderful GMT from his collection---thanks P.!

Here some facts:

1675 MKI matte dial - the luminous material of this dial and all hands glows in the dark like a „zombie-watch“ because for only a short time there was used a mix of tritium and I think zinksulfit ??? don‘t really know what, but it glows all night long.
The luminous material has a very special colour....nice warm yellow in the sun, nearly poison green without sun. The plots are huge......fatter than every 1675 maxi dial I have ever seen :-)

It features the small GMT hand (normally only shown at the gilt GMTs) and a hook7 date wheel.
An old rounded T116 plexi is mounted.
The bevels/camfers are very yery wide like often shown in this time.
The insert is a later faded normal font that in my eyes matches perfect.....but I‘m allready searching for a period correct one.
A 7206 oyster bracelet with 58 endlinks is mounted.

This pic shows a Rolex brochure (I think from 1968) where you can see exactly this version......

And here another Rolex brochure with a slighty changed MK0 dial..

...and now let's see some pics....

....and the wrist shot...

.....and together with her younger and older "sister".....

@Poder: There are so many desireable GMTs....a 6542 ohhhh that would be my dream, but it will be always a dream...it's out of reach :-(
A nice end 70s MKIV Maxi, a MK0, a MKII, a radial MKIII, a pcg crd....
The GMT is such a lovely reference...I love those GMTs

True that So many nice ones. But i like this recent one as it is featuring maxi plots and wide chamfers together.

Absolutely stunning. Matte dial looks nice with the small 24hr hand. That case is just amazing. Chamfer heaven.

Spectacular watch. I love the thick plots and the original rounded bevel crystal makes all the difference! I wish they would never moved from that one- so nice
