Reference check...dilemma

Being pretty new to this forum I have a (stupid) question.
I am interested in purchasing a watch from a particular seller, who has been a member for one year now. Is it cool to post an inquiry on this forum BEFORE making an offer or contacting the seller? Thanks for your thoughts on this.

Uhhhh . . .

I would think you were crazy if you didn't.

By the way, didn't you post a very similar thread in the Open Discussion Forum?

If there are no rules to say you can't mention the sellers name then you should.

If the seller is kosher, you would be doing the chap a favour.
