Fake Submariner 166110V ?

Hello Everyone,

My name is Charles and I am new to this forum. I am looking to buy a used Submariner with the green bezel and black dial. The seller is asking $3500 which is a little lower than most prices I have seen. I am skeptical but do not poses the knowledge to spot a fake. Are there any other pictures that I should request?

I see a couple things that say fake but, I'm a noob so I will let the gods chime in lol. There are trusted reputable sellers on here too if you check them out, if this indeed fake which I'm inclined to believe.

I'm not speaking as an expert, but I think that's probably an authentic Rolex.

More knowledgeable members will be along.

I'd just say that you don't need to entertain questionable watches or sellers when you have the "trusted sellers" here.

Thanks for your help. I contacted the seller and asked for a picture of the watch on his wrist. And he sent me a stolen picture from the interwebs. It clearly had the website logo on there in small print. I won't fool around with non-reputable folks. Back on the hunt!

Several of our sellers such as DavidSW Orlando have brick & mortar stores. David even has his own web site. http://davidsw.com/ I called him a week ago looking for two Rolex watches. By Friday he had them in hand with pictures for me to view. Paid for them this morning. Tracking shows them now in Dallas set for delivery tomorrow. Excellent service. I do believe he has a green Rolex sub on his web site.

Just checked his web site. He has 5 by count. Several with the green dial and bezel

Looks ok to me when compared to my 'M' 16610LV.

It's had a hard life but even though that price seems low?

Needs to be authenticated.

I think this particular "LV" seller just took the pictures straight out of this Ebay listing. Same pictures it looks like.

Watch sold on eBay for $7150US. Whoever is selling it for $3500 has most likely stolen the pictures in order to put your money into his pocket with no intention of giving you a watch

Wise decision ............. Not saying the bay is a bad place to shop, there is simply less risk with our forum for sale section. Four of my 6 Rolex have come from TRF sellers.
