Panerai in general don't hold there value as much as Rolex and other brands like that. Doesn't really deminish from the Panerai brand. Just make sure to buy used and you'll be good.

The Ferrari pieces were never known for holding value.

Buy if you LOVE it, because the Ferrari line is far from popular.

Panerais don't hold their value very well, but Ferrari Panerais may be some of the worst I've ever seen in terms of holding their value. I don't know what "genius" thought it was a good idea to remove any trace of Panerai labeling on the watch and replace it with Ferrari logos, but that's the reason they don't sell. If someone didn't know better they'd think it was some generic watch with the Ferrari logo on it that you bought off of Ferrari's online store.

Like everything if you buy for already discounted price then you will loose little reselling, if you have such plans.

However on this forum we always recommend to buy what you like and for price you can afford.
No point of selecting watch based on future loss or gain as this may not work.

If you absolutely dont want to loose a penny buy second hand submariner with box and papers from somebody who is desperate to sell.

Panerai dropped their retail prices. rarely does one become a highly sought after collectors item. it's never the ones i own.

was never a fan of the ferrari ones, most watches 'lose value' it's not something you want to 'invest' in. as stated buy used and you'll be fine. funny out of the 5 panerai's i own, only 1 was bought used. waiting for #6 and possibly #7 this year. i don't care about the 'hit' when/if i decide to sell. enjoying the hobby is what makes me happy, the cost is not the primary factor.

Ferrari has some low end branded watches too, so that can't help.

I enjoyed seeing a Ferrari branded Panerai as a watch guy and a car guy. When I was younger I really wanted this watch but I had just celebrated the birth of my son with a PAM104 so I wasn't in the market for an extra Panerai watch.

If I could get a Ferrari watch for dirt cheap new I might buy one but I couldn't justify paying full price for it. I also don't own a Ferrari, when I was young I could pull it off as a fan of their cars (I have a couple Ferrari jackets), now that I'm older and can hypothetically afford a Ferrari I own a Porsche and it would look strange. I'd feel like a poser in a Porsche and wearing Ferrari branded gear.
