Glidelock on GMT-Master II?

I find that the easy-link doesn't provide enough size flexibility for my BLNR. Has anybody substituted a glidelock for the easylink? I consistently reach for my SubC in the morning now for this reason, even though I like everything better about the BLNR (except how it never fits me properly!).

Can you do this? Do people do this? I know it's not in the "spirit" of the BLNR to have a diving extender on the bracelet, but my SubC is so freaking comfortable!

yes you can do it, but you shouldnt have to if your bracelet is properly sized

my first move would be to make your current set up slight bit larger in am

Why not switch the bracelets?

Me too lol. I never had the problem you experience with the clasp though, always found it to be more comfortable compared to the bulkier sub c bracelet. Maybe it's not sized right.

The glide lock clasp is a little chunky but very comfortable.

I wonder if Rolex will one day make a glide lock clasp for other models, maybe a Lille smaller without the need for a full 20mm extension. Fortunately, the current east lol on my blnr does work for me, I did move the inner pin one notch during the cooler weather and will move it into the middle spot for the warmer weather again.

The fit difference between a GMT and Submariner should be pretty easily navigated by adding 1 additional link to the 12 o'clock side when compared to the number of links on your Submariner with Glidelock. If that doesn't work you could order a half link for your 12 o'clock side from your AD and should have no problem.

IMO I wouldn't mess with adding a GlideLock to the GMT. 1. They're very expensive 2. May be tough to locate/be able to order from Rolex even being a current Sub owner 3. You would have to have the clasp center polished to not ruin the aesthetics of your watch

Simple enough task to move the glidelock over from your Sub to see how you like it. If it works for you go for it.

I had the same problem, so bought a sub bracelet which I put on my LN. Now it's the perfect watch.

I added the 97200 to my blnr as I hate pcl's. my gmt bracelet will remain stickered as I have no intention of ever using it...

Plenty of people have put the Glidelock on other models. But if you are swelling enough that you constantly need to resize your bracelet I'd suggest limiting your salt intake.

I bought a Glidelock clasp here on the sales forum for my Explorer II. It's a great modification.

nice. I am sure OP can also source just the glidelock in here. It would be much cheaper than to get a whole bracelet.

I would echo Dr. Tom and make sure the bracelet is properly sized. At least, before spending a bunch of money on a glide lock clasp.
