Could anyone please recommend some trusted shops in the Los Angeles area where I can see some decent vintage Rolexes (and other vintage watches)?

Wannabuyawatch on Melrose.

Nice people, although not necessarily experts. Good selection all price ranges. Their prices are up there, but not as high as, say, 10pastten, by way of reference.

I like Ken and Miguel there (Miguel used to be the guard, now moved up to salesperson). Sherri no longer there, she was nice too, I believe she has her own vintage watch business now. Tim is a little too high strung so I don't like dealing with him as much.

Ken is a great guy, they're pretty good at finding high quality vintage pieces.

Yes there's a bit of a premium to their prices but they're not ridiculously high.

Very high prices, but Philippe has to pay that Rodeo drive rent! I got a mint unused condition 5960P Patek for thirty grand less than he wanted, and from a Newport Beach dealer, which Newport Beach is not known for deals either! Philippe and son nice people to talk to though.

^^I've never bought anything from Philippe's, so I cannot comment on their pricing. I just go there to look around and chat with the staff.

Has anyone tried Beverly Hills Watch Co., 350 N. Canon Drive, Suite 16, Beverly Hills, (I believe they used to be on S. Beverly Dr.) or Essential Watches, 9601 Wilshire Blvd., Lobby Level 120, (used to be at 9454 Wilshire Blvd.) Los Angeles. The latter is by appointment only.
