Rolex 1675 Gilt dial help
Dear Members,
I am looking at a Rolex 1675 Gilt dial from 1960. I have received a picture from the seller and would like to ask for some help. Based on the pictures, can anyone advise me if this is genuine and original for 1960? Your help is much appreciated. Thanks |

Looks the goods alright. Gilt dials tend to go like that. How does the whole package present.

The premium gilt dials are blemish-free, with little to no signs of ageing, except for patina on the lume. This one is nice, but far from the mirror finish it originally had - the lacquer has age spots.

The small arrow is wrong. It extends the chapter ring. Probably after market. The small arrow tip should touch the chapter ring perfectly and not exceed it.

May simply be the angle if the pic and still not necessarily after-market ...

Possibly AOK on the OP's watch - an angled pic and the curve of the crystal can suggest that a hand is too long. Worth noting too that there are are three generations of mini-GMT hands with a tiny difference in length across the three. I learnt that the expensive way with two mini GMT hands bought through VRF being rejected by my watchmaker as too long |
