Wow! Great job. Do you have a photo of it out of the package? Preferably a profile pic?

Hi Chuck,

I'm sorry to tell you but that insert is 100% not authenic. If you look at that EBay seller's other ceramic inserts which he also claim is authenic is also fake and is in the same package.

Look at his 116719 ceramic Pepsi insert you can clearly see the colors are off and numbers are painted white. It's also is in the same package type as the insert you purchase.

Rolex authenic ceramic inserts comes in a sealed box and has the part numbers. No Rolex parts has the year listed on the package.

If his inserts were authenic they would sell for about double his asking price. Return that insert and get your money back.

Yes that is not OEM, the font is wrong.

What price was he asking?

Unfortunately agreed. Get a refund and report him. The I in units should line up over the left side of the H in Hour not the right side.

I think it was around $1,150 and listed as new original Rolex ceramic insert.

Yeah, way too low, would easily be £2K.

In OP's defense, he didn't claim that it was authentic.

I really appreciate the info. I had no clue it wasn't authentic. The seller has 4,500 positive feedback. That is pretty messed up! He has others for sale. I didn't see the one you mentioned though. I have started the process of getting a refund. Am I allowed to post his ebay name so people know to watch out.

I was wondering how it is possible to buy authentic cerachrom bezel when Rolex does not sell its parts in open market. Now the real truth was revealed. I am amazed how you guys are so knowledgeable and can spot fakes. I have Daytona - C myself but by looking at this bezel did not spot fake.

I'm glad you're in the process of getting your money back, but a simple image search would show you that this is faaaake. The bunch of the arrow markers are off-set by a good amount.

No problem, Chuck. I think you have to be harsh with this seller as he was selling and pricing it as if it was genuine. If it was $100 then that would be different.

The process has started to get a refund. The seller still insists that it's real. He is going to send me the receipt. Here is a picture of the bag it came in. I forgot I photoshoped some of it in my post. Didn't want anyone to use the original information.

Never noticed but some of the carrots are indeed off center on my daytona C, most noticeably at the 200, 130 and 120 markers. The carrot on the 180 marker on mine is dead center (not the case on the bezel here).

We purchased all bezels directly from Rolex. We do not deal with aftermarket or "fake" parts or accessories. Please view the attached image of the Rolex receipt you requested. As to the packaging, Rolex no longer provides all the additional packaging to save costs. This has been true only in the last year. However, if you want to return it undamaged for any other reason, please feel free to do so. Best Regards, Lance.

I'm making no comment on the authenticity of the bezel however Watch co mostly certainly deal in fake parts. Most notably they are 'well known' for selling fake Rolex buckles.

Allow me to do it for you:

Seller: Watch Co. AKA Lance Thomas.

eBay ID: watchco1974

Current items for sale:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/watchco1974/m.html

As mentioned previously, he is known for selling fake Rolex buckles. It appears he has expanded his counterfeit inventory to now include fake ceramic bezels as well.
In fact, a quick scan of the link above shows that most/all of the Rolex parts he sells on eBay are fake.

Notables from the link above:
* Gold-plate Rolex buckles stamped with "ACIERINOX".
* "Genuine original" two-tone Oyster bracelet link with the gold plating worn off on the center link.
* Plethora of $10 knock-off ceramic inserts that he trys to pass as genuine and sell for 100x that amount.

I guess he thinks that if he prints up some legitimate-looking sticker labels on his trusty ink-jet printer, than nobody will catch on, lol...
That "invoice" letter is a real beauty too. Good effort there Lance!

It's just another shining example where 100% feedback means absolutely nothing, when navigating the minefield of counterfeit Rolex parts on eBay.

Be careful out there!

And yes, REPORTED.

Yea he has listed on that receipt Regular Daytona 116520. Shouldn't it be 116500....

Also would Rolex really write Regular Daytona???

Thanks! I'm so glad I posted a picture before having it installed. The fake ceramic bezel will be on its way tomorrow. I feel bad for anyone else that purchased something from him thinking it was original Rolex. I saw in his feedback that someone bought a fake ceramic bezel for a 116506 and paid $2,350. Anyway to let them know it's fake?
