Icon3 Help -Stuck on color choice. Rhodium or Blue ?

Usually more decisive than this .
Decided on 114300 OP 39 mm. Started out focused on Rhodium then gave Blue a second look and now ?

Rhodium is classic ,tasteful , subtle Cons are seems less legible hands against dial & maybe too Subtle

Blue more pop , sporty, easier to read Cons. Green pips ( minor issue)

Side note - I'm noticing better deals on pre owned Rhodium & more for sale than Blue.

I know it's a personal thing and everyone has an opinion , afraid I've over thought this into a draw

Hmm I like Rhodium usually but with the OP I say go for the blue, because to me the Rhodium and stainless are too similar and there isn't enough contrast. I like the blue sunburst too (and easier to read)

Either way you can't go wrong they're both beautiful pieces and I hope to add one soon myself

Both are great, but I recently got the blue since I had trouble reading silver hands on dilver dial on a DJ I owned previously. I actually love the green pips - great subtle pop in person

Rhodium goes with everything. Blue, it sticks out like a sore thumb and you're stuck!!!

Blue all the way. For me, the grey is a bit dull with the fully brushed bracelet. The blue is perfect.

The blue has some depth to it. I'd say go that route. Don't listen to me though, I just got a bluesy so I'm biased toward blue right now.

I think you will need to handle both before making a decision.

I was convinced the blue was for me as I thought the grey looked a little "flat"

At the AD I was able to handle all 3. It didn't change my mind to discount the grape, the blue was beautiful but I was surprised how much I liked the grey. I found it subtle, elegant and discreet.

Six months on I'm don't regret my choice. No problems with legibility either.

But they're both beautiful, you can't really go wrong here.

I thought the grey Rhodium looked a bit "flat" and was hard to read, so that left the Blue (which was my first preference) and the gorgeous Red Grape. In the end I chose Blue.

But that's what I like, and what you or anyone else like may well be different.

Look at your current collection and make your decision based on which dial would complete it.

Easily my two favorite watches in Rolex' production today.
My vote goes for blue, though rodium is also amazing!

Rodium is stunning and a more diverse match to different colours of suits, clothes i think.

I prefer the blue dial. The Rhodium is too monochromatic looking for my taste.

The rhodium is more subdued which I actually like on that watch. If you want more contrast or pop, go blue.

OK good input , blue is favored 10/7 fairly close .
I'm wondering if there is an age demographic to consider
I'm thinking under 50 - favors blue / 50 & over - Rhodium

thinking rationally [ as is possible ] The Rhodium is more neutral and will look good with any garb . Thinking towards my Daughters wedding - in 2 months
I wonder would I wear the Blue ? Maybe not , Rhodium yes But that is about the only exception -" Black Tie"

considering my " collection " Much has been recently sold off to fund this OP.
What's left is BB Blue ,
Hamilton intramatic silver dial ,
Squale 20 atmos Balck dial
various Seiko's divers

Rhodium would be a nice fit ... But Blue can be in play

Help -Stuck on color choice. Rhodium or Blue ?

It was blue for me. The green pips don't stand out as much on the wrist vs photos (IMO). I think the blue goes with everything, at least everything I wear (I wear a lot of blue). It's a great dial, goes from looking almost black to a standout blue. An underrated piece!

I am usually a blue fan but don't care for the green (however subtle). In this case, rhodium with blue accents. You can't go wrong either way.

Blue. Both nice, but I am partial to the shade of blue on that dial.

I'd go blue....or pay a bit more and get the 2016 Air-King. That's what I did.
I liked the Rhodium but was underwhelmed. The AK on the other hand persuaded me instantly.

I tried on both and found an odd discovery.
The rhodium is truly beautiful but on its own, once on the wrist it looks bland.
The blue is simply outstanding in the light and looks grand on the wrist, making it easier to spot.
That's my personal experience.

On another note, if I am buying the OP I'll go for the red grape because of the colour. I have other blue sunburst watches in my collection.

Very nice, love the sky blue accents and it's on my mind, blue dial is great too esp if you don't have one already.

Both so nice. I have blue. Love it! Both equally desirable. I think blue pops better, looks richer. Grey is more cooled down. Tough call. Blue edges I think.
