Collecting Print Magazine Ads of MY Rolex
When I bought my 1st Rolex in 1989, a GMT Master II Coke on a Jubilee Bracelet, I saw that watch advertised in a magazine and I saved it. So now I find myself looking for the original print magazine ads for each Rolex I own. When I trade or sell a Rolex I keep the print magazine ad as a "trail" of the Rolex I have owned. But I still own that 1989 GMT Master II. After all, "she" was my 1st "girl".

That's a great idea. Love those ads, even tought they're more Marketing than anything else...
and your Coke is one hell of a nice watch! Keep it forever. |

Very cool! I'd like to start doing the same for all of the Submariner ads over the years.

Awesome. I've just started doing the same with black Exp II ads (both four and five digit, even though I only wear a five.) I love this one, because my wife's name is Rune.

I have some mixed feelings about those vintage advertisements from a personal perspective.
As a young teenager I was obsessed with the stories and fascinated by the Rolex watches in their quality. However, I am haunted by the frustration and my inability to persuade my mother to allow me to have one, I got close but just could not get her over the line Decades later.....well need I say more

I have a few Polar Exp II adds from "The Newyorker" from 1985. Pretty fun thing to collect.
