Sorry, but yea, I really love my Sub
Pardon my indulgent post, but I can't really share this anywhere else. I again have to share how much I love my 16610 Sub. I had a small collection of maybe 7-10 watches before I got my Sub about 10 years ago, and I've almost been a 1 watch guy since, and sold a lot of stuff off.
The Sub is so versatile to dress up/down. The 40mm case sits well on my skinny wrist without overwhelming it. It's ridiculously comfortable, almost oddly disappearing on my wrist over a day of wear. It's durable, surviving a couple of drops, wall collisions, etc. I wear it with a suit to weddings, or lounging at home in PJs. Doesn't look too out of place in either situation. Since getting the Sub, a similar cycle has repeated. I'll purchase a watch. Honeymoon period, wear it for about a week. Then the Sub beckons, and the other watch doesn't get much wrist time, and it's out the door. If I had to pinpoint 4 things I most like about the Sub, it's size, comfort, durability, and versatility. No watch I've bought since (Even some other Rolex models) have matched it for me. I like the Sub so much and so many other watches have been flipped that I'm almost considering just getting another Sub. Maybe a no-date, or a Hulk. Here's a pic, much more handsome than its owner: |

May I suggest the 114060. You'll love it, I'm sure.

I'd get a 116610LV next if I was in your shoes, because it gives you more color and a completely different piece from a different era.

I own the 2-liner 14060M and just bought a Pepsi 16710. It wears very similar to the Sub, and I strongly recommend it.

Since I already have a SubC, I would not get a SubC-Date. IMHO, they are so similar that I would have a hard time to decide which one to wear.
I would consider a Datejust for the completely different look. If I wear a suit, I would go for the Datejust. Otherwise, 114060 it is. |

There's a reason the Sub is so popular as it has it all! The 16610 is a fabulous watch and looks much better on the wrist than pictures can do it justice (I own one). But if you want to add a second Sub you might consider the LVc as long as your okay with green or alternatively the No Date Subc with its clean (no Cyclops) symmetric dial. Too bad the Kirmet Subs (16610LV) have gone up so much in price since the green aluminum bezel and black dial is sharp. Good luck & Cheers!

I am glad you enjoy it so much. On the contrary, I got bored of my subs and flipped them. Both were LN also.

I love this forum, and think all the time about another watch, but then I think - " I am not going to be happy without my good ole sub!"
